Nothing ridiculous about the Tony Ticker. My own personal spreadsheet is about 10% higher.

There is a concerted effort to reopen every section and cost us another two years or more on that ticker.

Don't let this post distract you from the focus of the thread starter. The depths they will go, even possibly breaking APC rules, to divide the pilot group (and denigrate a handful of our fellow pilots).

Ridiculous that it’s named after TC. Had we listened to his sage advice, we would’ve saved 6 months in negotiations at this point.

Considering that our retro was already less than half of what it should be, your 10% higher number is probably still well below industry average just like everything else in the failed TA.

Posts like this that make smug reference to the "Tony Ticker" are a great example of hubris via seniority. They showcase a proud, arrogant group of old guys who see themselves as strategic political geniuses, who in reality are a collective of half-literate drunks, underestimating the junior guys at every turn between visits to their second families in VCP.

So far, the "young guys" have mostly been about business, working to forge a realistic path forward with the ultimate goal of a contract that everyone can be proud of. Meanwhile the old guys whine and cry and point fingers with "but muh tony ticker" waging an angry war against reality with no real objective.

I believe creating the ticker was a strategic mistake by the senior crowd, and constant smug reference to it is just going to make it worse for the seniors in the long run. Keep posting this stuff and eventually the young guys with 20-30 years left are going to run out of patience and start weaponizing the clock against you. Forget them negotiating an increase to your A plan, they'll do a 180 and start referencing the ticker themselves, cheering whenever someone retires under 2015. Since you are so desperate to divide, obstruct, and delay the process, fine. Be careful what you wish for.

Thankfully we are not there yet as the young guys are still interested in swallowing their pride in the interest of cooperation and unity. When that changes, just remember you were warned, and you will only have yourself to blame.
