Any reason to stay at FedEx 40s or younger?

Never forget that they created this overmanning. They may try to make it our problem but shrinking the airline and growing the OUTSOURCED air network is 100% their doing. Air cargo demand is not down that much right now no matter what lies they peddle. The company is the one who over-hired and then changed the system form to expand as much third-party lift as they can so in my opinion they can un-**** it. Not my, or your, or any other pilot’s problem, it’s their problem.
You going to take a stand or just complain and belittle fellow pilots. I already know the answer.

You confuse scare tactics and measures that will diminish mental health due to management schedule QOL degradation for fixing the problem.
This is just another effort to get junior members to walk. The junior seniority has shown they are not leaving and choosing to stand. They have shown investment in the new direction of the Union. Will it get more difficult? It will but WE (junior and senior ALL IN) will endure.
I hope you find a way to be ALL IN and we make decisions (don’t fly fatigue, call out when fatigued, don’t pick up disputed pairings, save for the day it ever comes when we can use full leverage, dont fix problems that are not in our wheelhouse, look out for each other) that reflect that.
The messaging is clear. Profits over QOL, profits over employees, profits over mental health, profit over safer scheduling practices, profits, profits, profits.

One of the great things about FX is that I don't have to fly with left wing retards. The downside is flying with anti union fooktards who think a Union is at best a necessary evil and at worst anti-American. I have not flown with 1 Captain who taxis at a normal speed (anyone remember the Crandle Crawl). You Captains make the old WN guys look like pussies. Why? FX has one of the lowest rates of fatigue calls in the industry despite having, by far, the worst schedules. Why? FX union leadership has historically been pro management, and unfortunately a stepping stone to a management position. Do management folks sit in their office without AC? Why the hell are you guys sitting in a 100 degree cockpit when your overlords sit in a comfortable chair at 75 degrees? We have plenty of levers to use but we choose not to. When you have been at more than 1 airline in your career you would understand this. Sadly, there are far too many drones at FX that think exactly like your dumb ass does.

Fed Up
What about booting people out of the union who use union positions as a stepping stone to betray their bretheren and take a management position? We cannot stop the company from hiring corrupt union leadership, but sometimes these individuals fall off that corporate ladder and go back to the line. Then they can pay shop fees and be without representation.
Fatigue policy isn't industry leading. If guys call out fatigued after check in it's deducted from sick bank if they have had legal rest. The fatigue committee stands by the lines and parings and declares them to be excellent. These guys work really hard in the office for the line pilots. I have heard that you need to wait until after show time to make the call, or until you get into the airplane, then get back off and call out. Sep/Oct is deep into hurricane season, so if it's too hot in there please walk off the job and make the call! Even if they deduct your sick bank it is a way to access your money without using a sick occurence or being required to see a medical provider and get a doctor's note approved. Holidays are right around the corner.

Rest Up
Perhaps by burning through some sick bank guys will be able to preserve their health and avoid the bad illness, physical breakdown, and cognitive decline. If you lose your health and mental capacity, what is it all for? Die with the most toys and your wife can enjoy the money and travel the world.
