Sounds more like the hires the last few years, not hires from 1994 on. Sure are full of yourself. You new whipper snappers can show us how it's done.

You should have gone to delta, was reading on their forum a guy hired now at 36 would only be 4000 on the seniority list when he retires. Bahaha sucker.

You seem to be exactly right.

You do know that those legacies haven't even caught back up to their 2000 contract rates after adjusting for inflation? You do know that several of those legacies no longer exist? So, what top tier airline are you working for and how are you making your voice heard?

So being junior at Fedex while it shrinks is better than going to Delta? We have very different definitions of 'sucker'.

"Sounds more like a Block 1 guy crawling over broken glass to suck management's **** because you have Battered Pilot Syndrome."

Been at FedEx 2 years and am late 30s. Fedex closed the base closest to where I live and I got a CJO at UPS. Considering bailing for a few reasons, but primarily to chase being home based as UPS has a base where I live. Figured I would share my plight for the group as it seemed relevant to this thread. Looks like I知 making the jump.

You won稚 regret it. You値l make the same amount as a UPS first year as you will on 3 year 4a2c pay. (Not really, but seriously bail on this dump)

In the past I would say no but given that our schedules are just as bad NOW as UPS I would say good call. Living in domocile makes life much easier and commuting here about to get harder. Good luck. Lots of friends there and they are doing fine.

Better pay (both rates and guarantee), better scope, assuming you live in LA and can be Ont based. Sounds like a no brainer to me!

To the first point, again how is that some justfication for TA1, which would have been the first voluntary cessation of an A plan, at least since 9/11? Is your point that that TA1 was good because the Fedex pilot group was catching up to concessionary contracts of the early 2000s?

The Legacies that did get merged that no longer exist didn't fail because of pilot pay. America West, TWA, and Northwest had decent, if not even then industry leading contracts.

If there is a lesson from the merged legacies of the 2000s, its that concessions cannot save a crippled airline.

You get that being 4000 on a 20000 man list (which is a reasonable grow curve for DL) is basically being the same as top 1000 at a 5000 man list that's going no where fast?
