"We get 0:30 of pay for an extra landing!"

Cue the: "sorry you didn't do your homework before getting hired" from the take-the-money-and-run crowd.

No, they are different than Memphis.

-19hr 2 day trips? We have 6.5hr 2 day trips in my fleet as well as 5 leg 2 day trips that pay less than 9hrs.
-Hotels - I stayed at nicer hotels at a LCC. At least the courtyard Marriott in Casper has a Dennys connected to the lobby!

But, we have good vacation and no PBS (except for SLG, which is a horrible version of PBS) so guess that’s good enough!

All of this and more is why I would never recommend coming here to anyone unless you live in MEM (puke). On top of that is we are by far the most stagnant airline in the industry and no one knows when that will ever end as these corporate scum continue to gut the company and shrink. Who knows maybe I’ll never even have to convince someone to not come here if we don’t ever hire again which by the looks of it is a possibility.

this one gets me every time hahah. Every regional, lcc, legacy, 135, 91, hell even flight instructors at flight schools get this treatment it’s not some special FedEx thing it’s called human decency and from a darker angle it’s a liability for them to say oh well finish your trip.

It’s especially rich coming from the “you didn’t do your homework crowd”… that never worked a day anywhere else because they either got hired here at 24 (like our favorite IG pilot likes to reminds us on the daily), or came from the military, or a furlough. The “just happy to be here” mentality that’s enabled this place to have a smoke screen put up all around it which has created an illusion of something that’s not real.

The reason other airlines are making real progress is their most senior pilots to the most junior don’t give the company a free pass to do as they please “because we have 6CHs vaca and nobody else does.”

You were made to work back after calling a a family emergency? I have called out twice for a family emergency zero push back, once from asia once from dubai. What was your emergency? Needed to get to sons baseball game?

Not part of the gifted group that was hired lately. I paid my dues, Navy pilot, Express 1(which turned into Pinnicle, now Endeavor) Saab pilot for 2,5 years, Kitty Hawk Aircargo 727 for a year. I don't give the comapny a free pass at all.

The ones giving them a free pass is when we had leverage during covid and even now. Planes keep flying so you will keep crying. Open time picked up like a penny in an airport.

Always easy to put blame on everyone else. The others got good contracts because their management needed them and they put pressure on them. When our management needed us we caved in. From senior to junior.

From the posters here your only hope is to leave and go where you think the grass is greener. There is no hope for you here! TC, JG and JN are not your saviors. There is no support from the crew force. Only a lot of complainers on social media with out any balls to get us a good contract.

The amount of “gifted” people who get hired here under 30 is very small. Most of us worked for nearly a decade of poverty wages at the regionals/135 or military. I’d say most of us paid our dues to get here.

Guess I didn’t do my homework enough by coming to the largest widebody airline in the world and expecting to fly a widebody airplane within a few years. Instead, stuck at industry low narrow body payrates while people junior to me get to choose their aircraft. Guess that’s what I deserve for having a crappy SSN.

The company can have one mega crew base, and if it ever needs to higher again, find out exactly how many people show up to stand perma reserve in Memphis.
