one bonus to leaving FedEx is 1.5 years later you get a call from fdx alpa asking you to do an interview (like Alaska ALPA did) as to why you left.

pro tip: you could’ve chatted with them when the company was harassing (and still does to my knowledge) pilots for receiving PRIA requests.

what a toxic workplace.

Touché. Perhaps we should go for a 2 year contract, which might end up being a 7 year contract. That way we have a chance to course correct for major change like loss of postal, outsourcing, retirement rug pull, inflation, change in regulation such as age, mergers, loss of status quo QOL, system bid manipulation, and more. We would be in permanent negotionas putting out fires.

I've heard that was offered by the company and rejected by the NC. Allegedely.

Well, unlike other parts of aviation where incompetence gets you promoted, the NC got fired after wasting billions.

This was another big miss on TA 1. Pensions are a huge liability and I’m sure the MBCBP brought a huge savings to the company. If they decide to give us the option of MBCBP they should also have some sort of buyout / bonus to capture the savings and decrease in company liability.

If company wants to save future money by ending the pension for new hires, than there should be a COLA adjustment included for those with the pension. New retirement plan should also be as lucrative for new employees.

That's your problem, you think Fedex wants new employees. We will soon outsource the majority of our international flying and be down to our domestic. Won't need half of the pilots we have now.

Agree. The only flying alpa fx pilots will be doing is what is already protected by the scope clause in the CBA. Everything else is gonna slowly go away. How many planes turn thru CDG on a nightly basis that 5 yrs ago was a FDX plane? Not sure why ppl cant see whats coming. They sure arent gonna tell you before they have to.

Failing upward! If only us line pilots had such a privilege. We would have perished in a plane crash by now. With the state of Boeing perhaps that's still possible.
The company should offer a retirement buyout like UPS, now, before the new contract is signed. More guys would bite off on it and they could low ball it. Actually from my perspective it's a good deal for a pilot but to each his own.

If the new TA offered a COLA in the A plan most everyone would take it. The increase A plan cap in the May TA was to terminate it for most of us on property. I think there's a better chance of a buyout.

It sounds like the company wants to become an online store front which outsources the shipping and delivery. I guess it's a good deal now for airlines and ground contractors.
