With almost a 100% strike vote why didn’t the Negotiators hold out for more? Maybe the mediator put too much pressure and was leaning more towards the company?

I'm sure we could. Or we could just replace them with some of our own if this gets voted down who won't start giving away quality of life concessions at the beginning of negotiations.

For the young guys that think they are getting screwed, the $40k retirement bonus from the 2015 contract you had to be 54 by 2 Nov 2015. I missed it by less than a month. Why didn’t they revise the age to 54 by 1 Aug 2023?

just like the $25K in VEBA money the older pilots got and no one else did. So $65k I have missed out on because of my age! So don’t think the younger guys are the first ones to get screwed.

Default Advance Notice Plus (AN+)

That bonus was specifically targeted to pilots who were retirement eligible during the time frame of that contract. You had to have 25+ years of service and be 57 or older on Nov 2, 2015 to get the full $40K bonus. Needed 19 years service on that date and be 57 or older to get $30K. 15 years of service and 55 or older to get $20K. 15 years of service and age 54 and you get $15K. The rest who qualified with at least 10 years service on that date and were 54 or older could get $10K.

A very specific bone tossed to a very specific subset of the pilot group. Sound familiar?

I'm not retiring anytime soon.

I'm one of the few guys that will admit to voting yes in 2015. I'll tell anyone that wants to know. I'm also not afraid to tell them why.

You can quote Tony all you want...that doesn't mean I agree with his assessment. Fear is not a currency I deal in. I'm not panicky about wet leasing or DE Shaw, I'm not concerned about Chapter1, or Student Makeup or any of the corner cases some have elevated to "end of world" status.....You can call me naive, stupid, or unconcerned, but fearful makes no sense.

I just don't think you guys are smart enough to do what needs to be done in a timely manner...and what little you yield won't be worth the time it took to get it. You do not display acumen....just tantrums and I'm unimpressed.. I'm surprised at how threatened and ugly you get when exposed to someone who doesn't echo your group think.
An interesting new term - "corner cases"....hmmmm...and supposedly, NO Fear....well, except for that closing paragraph.

In other words...

The “Yes” voters are confident they won’t be:
Assigned Hotel Stby
Awarded new R16 Lines
Bidding LCA Lines
Selling Back Vacation then Not working
Building a retirement under the MBCB Plan

…Or remotely worried any reduction in total pilots needed will affect them

They are concerned about $$, not QOL, and are confident their current relative seniority can protect them from the concessions
They will be unaffected by any of the givebacks

NO voters understand the company wants a deal because they saw a 99% strike vote, and an opportunity to gain tactical advantage on UPS going into peak. All leverage that will still exist after a NO vote.

ReGroup. ReSurvey. ReFocus. ReNegotiate.

DAL, SWA, and UAL have all done it successfully. It can be done here as well.

The company looks past the NC and MEC - straight at the pilots - what will they see this time? How will that picture affect the future?

Vote wisely!

In Transparency, Integrity and Unity (for Everyome),

I had you down for weak-minded, afraid of voting no because you cannot fathom the path ahead vs the company who scares you, all of which you could remediate by growing a pair.

But you say we should call you stupid, ok then. Unfortunately, you can't fix stupid.

Keep in mind the AA calculator doesn’t even include part of 2023 at 21%. Unless I’m missing something.
