Another message posted from an uninformed individual who feels like attacking the union instead of pointing the finger at the real problem, management.

And he's probably never been to an LEC or MEC Council meeting either.

You do know the union can recommend all they want and management has no obligation to listen to them. I’m not in the top percent…but I’m also not ignorant.

Just wow. Blame the MEC for the activist investors holding the CEO and BOD hostage and demanding "improved efficiencies" (cash-outs).

Dammit ALPA, why did you let the junior guys get screwed in that way?

Are you out of your mind!?!? "Than" is definitely "no-brained"

I work with crazy people.

umm, yes, very true.. might want to read that again..

the only contract requirement is to have one practice. sorry you can’t read.

24.B.4
”The Company shall publish at least one practice bid award between 7 days and 3 days prior to the closing of any System Bid . The results of a practice bid(s) shall be communicated to pilots through the Company’s appropriate electronic system (currently the PFC website) no later than 24 hours after the closing of the practice bid .”

This is a false statement. Should someone senior to you need a category because they've been displaced out or their category is closing, they can come into your category and will bump you off the category into another category you bid or your seniority can hold.

Default Last bid B767 training

Does anyone know the status of B767 training from the last bid? I know there had been delays…is it complete? I thought I read or heard that training on this bid could start as early as August.

Some would like to see a system in which, a pilot who passed on upgrade the last 2,3 or 4 vacancy bids would automatically be created a vacancy so they could bid it now when no vacancy exists. A bump and flush scenario.
What gets me is that for anyone who was here during the last two “-1 in every seat” bump-and-flush bids, they have to remember and recognize the absolute devastation that rippled through the crew force. So many seats lost, training events created, lives in upheaval, etc. It was crazy the amount of movement.

This new section 24 prevented a whole lot of that. Yes, it sucks for the pilots who wanted to move seats and they are in an understaffed seat trying to go to an overstaffed one and aren’t able, but the result is much less upheaval for the entire crew force.

When we eventually get a TA, people on here will say “don’t vote on the TA whether or not it’s good for you on a personal level, but vote on it based on whether or not it’s good for the entire crew force. Based on that advice and the fact that this bid is causing a lot fewer pilots to lose their seats, this system is probably better for the crew force in toto.

You read that out of context.. I was referring to the previous posts that said since the first practice bid was basically inaccurate, they company should give us 2 more practice bids, and I said, no we are only getting 1 more. Please try to follow the entire conversation.
