System Bid has been posted

OK, dual qual was the wrong term. We used to have both planes in the same bid pack, especially Indy. Couldn't keep everyone current. We had to have 3 legs in each every 90 days if I remember correctly. I found it strange that it wasn't a landing currency, just a leg currency

I have friends at Legacy airlines that are still in initial training and have better seat seniority than I will have at the conclusion of this bid. Been here 2 yrs so far. And no, I couldn't bid on this current bid, so I'm stuck in the seat I was assigned in BI. I'll be going backwards in seniority for the foreseeable future.
There may not be an exodus from the top, but I think the one from the bottom is starting to happen. With the big changes coming to our system form, our porous scope, shrinking airline, and enhanced efficiencies which reduce QOL and commutability the reasons to be here are rapidly diminishing.
I wasn't asking for an 18 mo upgrade, but I'd certainly like the option to upgrade sooner than the 10+ yrs it currently looks to be.

Read the post I replied to. If you have been here two years, you had an opportunity to bid on 21-01. Unless you are under a seat lock, you can bid in this bid as well, just maybe not the seat you want. Just three years ago, the Legacy airlines were talking furloughs. Times change. They will again.

Brother, this right there. Regardless of cargo, passengers, LCC or Legacy is so true and will take most pilots years to figure out. Some will spend their entire careers without grasping it. You either retire with millions or retire with millions. Spend time with your family and stop asking what if ..

What a joke Fedex airline has become. Even they don’t know WTF is going on. If I had say 3 years or less of seniority, I would dump that s**show in a heartbeat. Never in the history of Fedex has this much uncertainty happened, with so many aggressive incapable people in charge.

Have a drink or three and support our negotiating committee.

I wonder, how long past their own self-imposed deadline will it take them to execute a PRACTICE bid?
QOL issues keep mounting, and Flight Ops support seems to be quickly evaporating. Some aspects of our airline are beginning to resemble the regional airline I left two decades ago.
You know the feeling? Like death by a thousand cuts.
