Our NC gave up FC deadheads in the last contract, and they were so stupid, they did not even realize they did it, in spite of multiple people point it out to them.
Read any TA carefully. Listen to the people who give opposing views. Those views, over the past 25 years, have been remarkably correct.
Be ready and willing to vote no.

You state the negative Nancy’s have been correct however, we have continued to lead the industry in almost every area. This proves you and the negative Nancy’s were wrong.

Did we have that language on the last contract? If we did have that language, then why would we spend bargaining capital to negotiate it?

So there will be zero hiring until AFTER May? If this is correct there won’t be any new blood on the bid list until what, around September? That’s a long time for a new hire to wait these days. It’ll be interesting. Guessing some will jump ship in the meantime. An outdated contract and zero movement is not the recipe for retention in today’s market.

1. Is there any contract out there that dictates what pairing creation software a company uses? AFAIK, optimizer is a JEPP product that almost every airline has incorporated. Optimized schedules are all contractual.
2. On the intl front, we have a lot more 24hr l/o’s but it’s not 100%. Still get the longer ones, weekend or not, just a lot less.

Why would we spend bargaining capital to negotiate anything? To make it better. Why else? Should we be stuck with all current language because it was negotiated before? You make no sense. Also, reference all the contract comparison documents. We are no longer leading in almost every area. Regardless, for what we do, we should lead in absolutely everything without any argument. Don’t tell me you disagree.

Not to hijack a thread, but it’s in line with buyers remorse. Some friends and I were talking about what our careeer paths would have looked like had we been hired by purple or brown. Out of curiosity, approximately what date of hire would someone need to have to be a captain flying exclusively daytime trips?

After perusing the February bidpack, I think I'd tell anyone with less than 2-3 years on property to get their Delta app in. Delta only, I wouldn't leave for anywhere else. That said, I think FDX had better prepare to start running a crew bus to ATL for all the guys that will jump ship. This is the post-Fred FDX that I always thought/feared/predicted. All of the old tropes about staying up all night and cargo not being a worthwhile option, while not previously true at FDX, probably will be soon.

We do lag in some ares. Let’s focus on those and improve them. We also lead in many areas. Vacation, min per day, retirement, etc. Let’s be honest about what we lead in so we focus on the right things.

The whole point of this job is to get on and get yourself off the bottom as fast as possible. At this time, all the legacy’s are offering that plus international wide body if that’s what you want. FedEx is offering less pay, reserve, and three leg nights on a 757.
For twenty years, this was the best and sometimes the only option out there. Today, FedEx is about to have a head on collision with the wall of reality. She ain’t the bell of the ball anymore and probably won’t be again for years or ever.

There is currently a pool of interviewees from the last couple months of 2022 that is waiting to start in classes, so there will be "new blood on the list" as soon as those poolies show up and get employee numbers on day one.
