I've been watching R24 closely in my seat this month (M30F). Surprisingly, few guys have been called in to fly. Most have been sitting at home. For Feb, R24 lines went surprisingly more senior than they normally do. I'm pretty sure this does not apply to the 767/777 fleets however.....

If senior folks bid reserve, that means junior folks can bid 48 hours in Honolulu. Imagine not having to come in for Hotel Standby on R-24 and rarely get used. Much better quality of life for commuters out there that don’t want to get used much. A good reserve system is better for everyone IMO.
Maybe when the BLGs are reduced to minimum and we’re over staffed will you get to stay home. Otherwise you’re going to work most or your R-days

Lots of sitting around at home on Reserve for 75 bubbas now days. Very little usage.

Only because reserve QOL isn’t important to the pilot group. That’s my point.

Reserve rules at my regional were 10 times better than here. I bet if we had those rules here, it would go more senior, which is a win win.

When reserve is properly staffed it does go fairly senior at FDX. Our reserve rules are not industry tops but definitely not industry bottom. Ask AA and UA. Move on. Start with asking about min days off……..

Quote every piece of the reserve rules of your previous regional to our reserve rules. I will wait. I love the broad open ended statement, Start with min days off. Then reserve guarantee. Then talk about pay and benefits of previous reserve gig. Follow it up with retirement and pay. GMAFB

I also want improvements but stop this ridiculous broad open ended comparison.

Dude our reserves system here is horrible. There is no doubt about that. Stop trying to downplay it

Must not be that bad because many reserves did draft on days off the last 18 months. Actions speak louder than words.

This is not accurate.

Of course pay rates and benefits are better here. As it should be, along with EVERYTHING else compared to a regional. So you GMAFB! Why do you insist on incessantly repeating management talking points? At least you didn’t repeat the other talking point about giving things up to get other things…
