Both drop their monthly bid schedule and always get an incredible charter trip -- every month.

Former Chief Pilot BM investigated them and said there was no wrongdoing that they could find. The same 10 or so people dropping schedules and always getting a charter isn't normal. There's now a father son team on the 777 who do it. They drop and fly charter trips together. The odds of any of that happening is zilch without some type of insider help or knowledge about charters.

This, and if the union was worth our dues money, the would put a stop to it.

Probably also why we don’t have real-time automated trip trading. As long as CRS has their hands on every single schedule mod this crap will never get fixed. The locals have no interest in letting the rest of us play their game.

Reserve here is a special kind of hell for commuters. It’s astonishing this isn’t a bigger point of contention. Buyer beware.

Yep, I think my one goal is to never sit reserve again here. It blows.

The current reserve system is here to stay because everyone here has paid their dues so to speak. Since they’re now senior enough to be off reserve they will never give anything up or fight to have it fixed.

I’ll take a slightly different perspective. I think reserve should be fantastic and that improves the quality of life for everyone. If senior folks bid reserve, that means junior folks can bid 48 hours in Honolulu. Imagine not having to come in for Hotel Standby on R-24 and rarely get used. Much better quality of life for commuters out there that don’t want to get used much. A good reserve system is better for everyone IMO.

Why do we have to give up anything to fix it?

I’m all for improving the reserve system but why do we have to give something up for that to happen? Y’all need to get that nonsense out of y’all heads.
