That makes no sense at all. The federal government gets their share but it’s never more than 50% (yet), let alone 100%. Plus there are many ways of reducing your taxable income without actually deciding not to earn more.

Unfortunately, there are several UPS guys that like to tell us we are doing it wrong here. They say that our contract has the biggest effect on yours, so they have an interest in how ours goes. Isn't your new extension amendable in Sept 2025? That doesn't sound like a short extension to me. If our contract has a big effect on yours, then why isn't it the other way around? Why do some of your guys feel the need to compare our rates to the new Delta AIP and tell us we are behind when you just took a 3 year extension because the company told you that is all you will get and you union leadership passed that on. What would have happened if the Teamsters struck, and you had a strike vote waiting for release from the NMB? Is UPS not capable of negotiating multiple contracts at the same time? I bet multiple labor groups threatening to walk at the same time would have put real pressure on the company. We will never know.
If you don't like Fedex pilots telling you what you should have done, then why do it to us? Why not stick to your own forum instead of trying to tell Fedex pilots what we need.

There’s 1/3500 of us pestering your group about that and that person has the username of C2078. OTW, I’m the one who said 5X guys follow your threads because your contract is the only valid comparison our company uses in negotiations for obvious reasons. You guys have also been ahead of us for the last 2 contracts. If you want to discuss the ins and outs of our recent extensions then take it to the ups threads.
There has been more than one! You guys should have been in front of us this time, but punted. How about you take care of your own house and we take care of ours!

Our last pay raise was Nov 2020. What's the current company offer on a percentage basis? And what are the future percentage raises over the life of the contract?
....because Fedex just announced shipping rate raises between 6.9% - 7.9% for 2023.
What were the rate increases in 2021 and 2022...??
(After further Google search it appears those #s are: 4.9% and 5.9% respectively. Thus, cumulative price increase over 3 years = 18.75% ~19.87%)
(Additional Note: Since 2012, Fedex rates have increased at an average rate of 4.9% annually)

Welcome to the 2000's. When UPS Went Public in 1999 this happened. They had a major exodus of management. The only thing that is important is the shareholder. This is the same with the majority of all publicly traded companies, especially when founders or very senior management prior to 2000 retire. Nothing new here to see.

Huge misconception! Each ALPA pilot group decides what they want to negotiate, how to negotiate, when to negotiate. None of the governing documents give any other entity the ability to dictate negotiations. On the other hand, ALPA does exert influence on a multitude of federal agencies and congress on everything from safety, security, finance, etc, which all other non-ALPA pilot groups benefit from. I see that is bad for pilots. But we are pilots which means we tend to only think of ourselves.
