That makes no sense at all. Let me use some of the anti-ALPA pilots’ logic. Part 117 requires more pilots. More pilots equals more pilot payroll (the only reason why Fdx and ups are against it), more pilot payroll equals more dues income. Dues income is the reason for ALPA’s existence. Of course ALPA didn’t cave. They didn’t have ALL airline pilots speaking as one. Pilot unions are fractured into five other entities.

CAPA? I haven’t heard of them since USAPA disappeared. Are they still around? I think I can count on one three fingers the amount of times a non-ALPA pilot testified in congress. And two of those were captain sully, who is an ALPA supporter, by the way. So maybe not a free lunch but it’s definitely a deeply discounted lunch.

To get the thread back on track. Yes, the old FedEx is gone. Now management is all about the share holders and Wall Street.

When I first was hired, FedExers would freak out if the sort was only a few minutes late. Now the sort is always late and nobody gives a you know what. It isn't about being on-time anymore. It is about being as efficient as you can. Even when you're late, GOC will send you a Cost Index 0 message. Infuriating.

Why do you have to state such a dumb post when you know full well this is a public, fully open board? The sad part is it that you folks don’t have an internal B&G equivalent, why is that? The lack of internal peer sharing medium?

While our B&G has much stupidity, useless opinions, it also has lots of useful information. You take the bad with the good.

I would love to have a union-run message board where we could converse with our real names (and no imposters). Fakebook indeed does not count.

That's laughable. SWAPA is just about the weakest of all pilot unions. If you have any friends flying there, just ask them. Or click on over to the SWA forum on here and have a read. I'll take ALPA over SWAPA any day of the week.
