I doubt we will hire anyone else this year. Delta is hiring.

New training announcement said that all 6,000 pilots will be completing HF/Ground School, CMV, and CLOE in the next 9 months. With that extra training I don’t foresee any new hire training taking place. It’s not impossible but I don’t think it’s likely.

I really doubt that’s going to have any impact on hiring. This CMV, CLOE is still just a 2 day sim event. Plenty of idle sim time for new hires if they so choose.

Edit: Actually I just looked and I don’t even think it’s an extra event. They’re just replacing the CMT with CMV on the next cycle.

That's not extra training, it's just a different syllabus.

It's just a reset to align everyone's training cycle. If you were previously due the CMT/CMV cycle, you'll now do HF/CMV/CLOE instead. Not any additional training.

I ran into a FedEx recruiter recently who said it’s looking like June at the earliest. Certainly not anything official, just small talk from someone in the hiring loop.

With the training SNAFU we're in, the amount of lines being bought up, there's no way we are going to hire soon. We are going to find out April 5th at the Network 2.0 announcement in NYC. We will finally know their plans with Express's air network.
