No I am not how about leaving a employee’s name out of the discussion, who btw is not in management and tries to help everyone. This is a great way to never get any information passed to you!

Have had my app in a while and made some progress after a hiring fair and a couple phone calls from a recruiter. Was told everything looked good and let the system play out (PE on file for about 6 months now)

A friend of mine who knew said recruiter called to check up on things and was told my app us hung up because it says I have 3 part 91 checkride failures on my app and is throwing a red flag. I've never flown 91 and don't have any professional/for hire failures in my career. Double checked triple checked my app as well as 2 other fedex employees and we can't find any errors.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Sounds like an error on the fedex side of things but I hope I'm wrong.

recommend you get someone in company to ask their fleet captain to look you up in system and check for any red flags. I’ve done that before and found weird stuff (like PIC time wasn’t assigned to an aircraft so showed as zero). Not sure how fleet captains respond right now but it’s worked in past.

When I interviewed, during the HR portion one of the interviewers asked me about a failure that was flagged on their printout of my application. He showed it to me and it indicated that I had busted a UPT checkride during my Naval training.

I never served in the Navy - or any other military branch - and never indicated that I did on my application.

It was 100% an error within the application system that created the failure out of thin air. They couldn’t figure out why it was there, but it was. Who knows how many years of seniority that cost me. Point is, if you have been made aware of this error now, see what you can do to fix it. The system is not perfect.

This is good advice, and always better safe than sorry.

Better get your cash flow needs down from $30k/month to “something lower.” Funny to me, the FedEx pilot problem. Talk about out of touch. Not wrong though, just gross.

As others have said here, it sounds like ground is the real problem. If this recession is deep enough then no division will be spared and there certainly could be furloughs.

Express is really the brand, which is why your CEO was so quickly dismissive.

This is my concern... Had I not known someone that knew a recruiter, I never would have had this information. How many other people have had similar issues and never got a call?

I put in the explanation of my other old part 61 failures, my total checkride failures and that I've had zero professional failures. Someone will have to actually pull it and look at it to see that. My friend is in touch with the recruiter so we'll see what happens. Thanks for your input

Well I know there are red flags for sure, but they're not in my app. I've never flown part 91 but it's saying I have. No where on my app is part 91 selected.

how many Part 61 checkrides did you fail? If it’s the same number as Part 91 checkrides the system may be equating them. You say you never flew part 91 but if you went through any Part 61 checks the flying you did was conducted part 91.

What Fr8Master said, although your training was conducted under part 61 (instead of Part141) rules, the actual flight took place under part 91, instead of 121 or 135.

I would look at the failures in your training and see the number matches with the number of flags.

You had a private, instrument and commercial check ride and maybe CFI, CFII, MEL etc I assume. Did you fail any of those? Those are all part 91.
