Fixed it for you!!

Isn't your pilot group 75% MIL? If so, do you really expect that cadre to be pro union? Most of these people are extremely conservative and cannot stomach what ALPA does with their dues. As far as strikes go and holding the line, that is laughable. There is no way you are going to strike and we all know it.

Not sure what percentage is, it’s gone down in recent years. But it’s the majority and we’ve got a long way to go as far as union support/unity is concerned.

Get off this forum. We don’t need your divisiveness and union busting. Internal polling shows a very high degree of unity among our pilots and what they want on this contract. ALPA gives approximately 45/55% split politically depending on who is in power. The money is spent to only promote and protect our jobs. Period. If you have any proof of the opposite, please share it and I’ll address my PAC representative ASAP.

Otherwise, leave this forum because you bring no value to it.

Speaking of hiring I’m sure you all heard rumors they are dropping BD requirement. Can anyone on the inside confirm that or just fake news.

It is no longer a requirement but they haven’t updated the application website yet. So you can’t apply without one currently, even though it is no longer required. Just to be clear with the hiring slowing here the competitive mins will probably go back up and remain that way for the foreseeable future. FedEx see’s an economic storm on the horizon and is essentially battening down the hatches.

Yes, they are dropping the BD requirement but now adding a BDE requirement.

To talk about actual hiring news:

got an email from the hiring department saying the next class will be February. A projection of 1900 pilots hired in the next decade to meet the results of retirements. I’m in the CJO pool for reference.
