You can also see basic indoc classes in Mint if you search “basic indoc” and click the “product” that is titled basic indoc. It shows 2 classes for Jan and 2 for Feb. All 4 of those classes sound likely to be scrubbed now.

This is what I had heard as well, which is why I asked about the conflicting info. There was a January class in 2022, so sounds like a pause in 2023 then, thanks for the insight.

It would definitely surprise me if they continued to hire. We are at the very beginning of the recession and the reductions already announced look to be optimistic if things get worse which they already are. Companies are already cutting costs, and the layoffs are coming in many sectors and hopefully that won't happen with the transports but that is a BIG if at this point. CNBC just put up a graph on month over month advertising expenditures a couple of days ago and it was ugly. The outlay has dropped off a cliff for most companies and looks to be precipitous. Might be time get our houses in order.

Regarding the doom and gloom.....what are our planners seeing that the passenger carriers are not? I came here over the passenger carriers for job security and the stability. Pax carriers seem to be hiring in droves with no end in sight. Talking with my Delta buddy the other day, he said their bookings are at pre-pandemic levels well into 2023. In fact, I saw just today, Allegiant is now advertising for Aussies that can hold E3 visas to fill their seats! I've always been told, if FedEx ever were to "F" (don't want to say it!) the rest of the industry would already be upside down.

As for the ULCCs, that's UNSAT on numerous levels. The fight for contracts we all deserve has never been tougher, and the stakes for organized labor have never been higher.

I think that is probably correct. How many times have we seen companies hire til they fire?? We are in a little bit of a different time with all the retirements over at the legacies but if the economy craters which is a possibility, trust me, all that hiring is done. As far as you choosing the cargo sector, time will tell if you made the right move but we have serious problems coming in 2023. Did anyone see the remarks of Bezos the other day?? Something along the lines of "don't go out and buy houses, cars, tv's... Time to start hunkering down". Oh by the way, we're gonna lay off 10000 people. Happy Holidays guys. I think the business travel is about to knock off next year and all the disposable income that consumers have is not long for this world. When that is eaten up by groceries and energy, trips to see the Grands just ain't gonna happen.

All that freight sure was raking in the dough and there was no lift to haul it because so many international flights were cancelled due to low passenger demand. We all knew that kind of growth was not sustainable and they are going to have right size on the back end. We will see how they sort it out with the bumpy road we might be on soon.
