YGBSM!!
You go from this:
Where you basically say it's okay for someone's legitimate seniority to be abrogated because of someone else's choice.
Then you flip flop when it negatively affects you with this:
YOUR choice has consequences. Wahh. The union actually got your more than the contract currently allows. At least you're pay protected for the R-days which is more than 26.M of the CBA requires. In my opinion, the only reason the company agreed to that was they are undermanned and couldn't actually take the hard line on 26.M and lose the manpower each month. Ask to transfer to an aircraft/base that won't be affected by that choice. I didn't get vaxxed either. I don't feel entitled to be able to bid for trips I can't fly or hold equipment or a base that flies almost 100% international where several (and more coming) countries require the shot. I'll be a domestic pilot because I can't or won't maintain the credentials necessary to fly to countries in some bid packs/bases.
But someone who has chosen to maintain all required qualifications and has the seniority to avoid certain locations shouldn't be forced to go to those locations because others junior to them chose not to get vaxxed. Trying to equate someone senior reporting their status to you who chose not to is a joke. Especially when you turn around one post later and actually complain about the natural consequences of your choice which has nothing to do with seniority.
You go from this:
I really don’t understand why a senior person would be upset about being inverse assigned this SIBA bid to a junior person who did not report their vaccination status to the company when reporting vaccination status was never required. If you are senior and reported your vaccination status to the company then you shouldn’t be complaining when you have to fly to Canada or do trips you might not want to. This is a choice you made and the junior pilot to you did not make. I have lost a lot of pay from not reporting my vaccination status to the company and the union did not help me in any way with the grievance settlement. If you chose the path of reporting your vaccination status, you can’t be upset when you get flying you don’t want even though you are senior.
Then you flip flop when it negatively affects you with this:
Actually, no I did not get makeup from the settlement. I got makeup when my trips were dropped by the company at the time I got redlined and NQN status. This prevented me from picking up anything touching these footprints. The settlement gave me nothing. As for reserve days I could get now, I lose seniority in now getting reserve instead of an actual trip. Furthermore, I have no say in what type of reserve I get. I guess some think that is a win for people not wanting to reveal their vaccination status. I call it a big loss by our union and a huge win for the company once again.

They give you the opportunity to work, on your days off, for compensation at straight time (makeup) OR LESS (R-days). What's so special about that?

A solution might be, thinking outside of the box.
I would be glad to discuss the plusses and minuses.
One thought might be; If you are inverse assigned to this or any SIBA due to no junior pilots be assignable due to covid or any other reason like they were never given MD-10 training, you would get RAT pay. My thinking, you were "reassigned" due to no fault of your own.
How about something like that for an option?

If you had the option to decline the RAT assignment as you normally do, then maybe.

Looks like the practice bid went quite junior...only 22% Capt and 32% FO volunteered for it. Everyone else is an unwilling participant. Is that how these have gone in the past for aircraft phase outs? Or is it the "choice" flying locations that made it go junior?

The SIBA bid results are actually a HIPPA violation if you think about it. You can easily parse the list with our bidpack and see who got "skipped" for being unvaccinated. Add that to the grievance...
