In two weeks, I don't think so. A month, definitely. And it isn't normal. A particular set of events had to happen.

draft extensions aren’t paid at 200%.

As I stated the water gun kid did not request it! I know the guy personally. The kid is 100 percent solid character, loves aviation, understands the history of the salute and has zero interest in breaking tradition.

He was very well liked at the old company and the agents did that. If you ever get to meet him or fly with him it would be obvious that he is the type of person that has not an ounce of aloofness or arrogance. Stand up young man he is.

Didn’t happen like you say. I know for a fact it was a joke, not a smart one, obviously, but a joke nonetheless. It was actually a photoshopped pay stub someone had sent him some time ago, also as a joke. It was posted in response to a well known Wolf of Wall Street video about 70K paychecks. He took it down after about two minutes as he realized some might not see it as the joke intended. And he was correct, as the meme makers and Instagram haters jumped on it. He made his account private as the Instagram/meme haters were also stealing his other pics for memes. Through his account, he has positively promoted FedEx and the pilot group more than most. Haters gonna hate. Get a grip and worry about more important stuff. 😏

OK, what are they paid at?

I thought any trip that was extended paid 150% for the first 12 credit hours and then 200% for the remaining hours until finished.

Is it different for a draft trip?

Just curious as to how these people are getting these obscenely huge paychecks.

Incorrect. Read 4.BB.7. After an additional 12 CH it's 200% Happens all the time on the MD and 777 since the CBA allows an extension of 36 hours domestically and 84 hours international.

Without an actual example to point to, this would be my best guess how it was done. Volunteer for a quick trip to Asia, preferably China. After you arrive, call schedules and tell them you are open to a field extension without limitations. Stay out of town until someone makes you come home. Not sure it would still work, the 6 week trip talked about last year would of happened in early COVID 2020 when there was a huge increase in open time and China quickly became unpopular with many pilots. When things have been tight, Fedex has been a great place for someone without a life to go hide and get materially rich. Wife and pool boy are very appreciative.

Thanks for correcting me, while a draft trip that is extended pays 200% after 12 ch beyond planned completion, the full value of a trip extension is not realized when the trip is held as draft.

When a pilot is extended often, 4.Y.1 comes into play. Each added duty period pays 3:30. When a trip is held on draft, the EDP disruption does not apply.

Additionally, 4.W.(all) do not pay for trips held on draft. This includes, disruption pay for landings, duty period, layover change, crew designation.

Yeah… I’m not buying that revisionist history. I saw his account before he locked it down. Like all these social media addicts he was promoting himself first and foremost, not the pilot group. Thanks anyway.

But beyond the deep insecurities driving such pathetic behavior, are such “jokes” helping the pilot force achieve a better contract and pay rates?

Really winning hearts and minds out there.
