Yes….very interested in learning more here. I must say 6 months on any equipment is unheard of - to me. I guess I’ve been away longer than I realized!

Day one to the system bid award

As I’m sure you’re aware but applicants may not be, the 67 & 77 ITU is heavily backed up. Additionally some domiciles go extremely senior, i.e. 11L vs. 11A/M

67 OAK CA went to someone with less than 2 years on the property at the time of bid close I think...

Ok, that makes more sense. For someone on the outside though, I would give the time from day one to when they’re actually in upgrade class.

But if/when the it becomes necessary, they will lower that requirement. Otherwise the freight doesn’t move. And they’ll defiantly lower hiring minimums before letting too much freight stay idle.

It’s not personal, it’s business.
This sums up the point I was trying to make, although I got sidetracked.

I said it before and I’ll say it again: we will hire wet ATP certs to move freight if we have to.

PIC time is valuable experience, but there is nothing wrong with hiring those without it either. It happens all the time, safely I may add, in this industry. It’s a matter of when they do it, not if.

Is there any way to get around the Turbine PIC? I was at Mesa for about 5 years and have about 4,400 total, 2,900 turbine SIC on the E175. Currently flying for a non-profit part 135 to better support my family.

Do any of you have an idea of upcoming class dates? From what I understand, the official CJO goes out about a month before the class date with the bids. I’m just posting as I’m wondering upcoming classes and if the training machine is still on track. Thanks in advance.

Have you interviewed with FedEx yet? There's a signal group for those waiting on class dates that would have the info you seek.

Yep. Unofficial CJO from CP via phone call on a Friday. Rather not say when but it was sometime in June. I got some decisions to make but I don’t want to blow off another interview coming up with SWA (because I should just go to every interview). That interview is mid-August, but I’ll cancel it once I got an official class date with FedEx because it’s where I want to be.

Just don’t want to count my hens before they hatch kind of mentality, ya know. I’d love more info on this “signal” group.
