FedEx Jumpseat at OAK
Landing OAK on a passenger flight at 11:59pm so basically midnight. What’s the best way to get from the passenger terminal to the FedEx building to jumpseat out on FedEx?
Assuming it’s Sally Ride Way? Is this walkable? Bus? Taxi/Uber?
Thanks!

Haven’t done it in a while but—
yes, the address is 1 sally ride way.
uber/Lyft have been an option during covid
getting a cab from the stand Pre-covid was an option but boy did it **** off the cabbie who had waited in line for an hour to take you on a five minute fare.
I have never walked it, looks painful with bags.
I would recommend calling our contract cab company (Friendly Cab?) and schedule a pickup at 510-536-3000.

I used to walk it several years ago. However, one time, when in uniform, a County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped and gave me a ride and chastised me for walking there at night. Take it for what it’s worth, but he claimed it could be dangerous to walk.

So dang true. Even the SWA new hires who were stuck there for a year or two, etc said it was terrible every time they left their hotels at 4 am and “Star”, “Cherry” and “Fantasia” always greeted them on their way out. Bottom of the Barrel in the the Bay Area, not that the others are far behind anymore. What a shame as I frequented “The City” from my University less than an hour away. Nothing like it used to be, too bad. Be safe - head on a swivel.
