My thoughts also. How can we operate to countries who require vaccination, but yet not require our crew members to disclose vaccination status. Cant have it both ways. You obviously cant send unvaccinated pilots to those countries so you have to ask. I guess if you say no or not willing to disclose you wont be going to those countries. So now the vaccinated group get rerouted into those countries. This will creat dissent between the vaccinated an unvaccinated. Lets say China starts requiring vaccination with no crew exemption. Now if you are vaccinated you will be on full time China duty while the unvaccinated get to only go to the more opened up countries in Europe. Sounds messy.

I’m excited for the next chapter of this thriller to be published on Saturday night.

Easy fix. No disclosure until this is figured out. Period. That should be the MEC position.

I just don’t see that as a a possibility. What happens when a crew arrives at the jet for a flight to Campinas, which now requires full vaccination and a test, RE: todays latest FCIF.

It’s just like the China visa fiasco. The company knows who has one and who does not have one so they can make trip revisions ahead of time to protect operational integrity.

Thereby, bypassing seniority. That's just plain wrong. If I'm revised due to a pilot refusing to get vaccinated, I should be paid @ 200%.

What’s the end game when a huge chunk of the crew force isn’t vaccinated but it’s mandated by our destinations? The vaccinated just take it in the ass (more than we’ve all already been for the last two years) while the others sit at home with pay waiting on a substitution flight that’s never coming?

This is out of the company’s hand, they must adhere to protocols implemented by the host countries. Unlike some of the other carriers, the company did not place a vaccine mandate on the crew force, however I think in the near future they might not have a choice just like they don’t have a choice for required visas to certain countries.

If they can’t meet the entry requirements to countries we operate in, it should come out of their sick or vacation if they want to get paid, if they run out, then no pay.

Haa Haa, funny! That alone could put an end to FedEx as we know it. Can you imagine how this would affect the operation? It’s simple just put your vaccination status in. Soon the company might have no choice but to mandate it for crew members if they want to protect their operations. It's just the ugly truth. I’ll bet the lawyers are already putting in some hours in relation to vaccine mandate.

Haven't you read all the chest thumpers on JFs telling everyone they'll just retire if the destinations mandate it? Guess we'll see who's full of Sh#t.
