Vaccination status
#151
Several thousand have voluntarily submitted their vaccination status 😳
We just don’t get it; we should collectively be doing everything we can to make life more difficult for management during contract negotiations!
I’ve been told you can delete your vaccination status if you change your mind.
We can’t all be in substitution!

Well if you intentionally bid a line that has trips you know you legally cannot fly, should you get paid, should you get OTP and get priority in open time? You shouldn’t get an unfair advantage in open time or get paid 125% because you bid a trip you legally can’t fly. What is adverse is giving a guy priority in open time as reward for bidding a line with trips they can’t fly….it’s adverse for the folks who get screwed out of a trip because he uses OTP to trump their earlier trip trade.

FedEx could make this really easy by paying us the equivalent of what other pilot groups have been paid.
The union should have said something by now, but they have not. What are they waiting for?

What if i unintentionally bid a line to a restricted location? If that line is anything beyond my first choice, who’s to say it was intentional? There are a myriad of reasons one would bid that line, days off, conflict, currency, etc.
The fact remains, it’s not required by the company to be vaccinated (yet) and nobody should face punitive action as a result of our normal bid process. Substitutions and RAT are part of the contract, drop and NOQ are a bridge too far for something that isn’t a requirement. Blatant overreach IMO.

When you bid the line, it might be legal to fly it. Then, three weeks later, that line may contain a trip you can no longer fly. The rules literally change by the hour.

I "might" already be vaccinated. But at this point in time, I am choosing not to "voluntarily" share that information with the company.
