Flying internationally will require vaccines, tests and mandatory apps on your ipad. You will be confined to hotels or confined to your room.

There are those who will cope with this, and those who won't.

We all have to make that decision. Maybe the company should run another Mother of All Bids so we can all choose......
Totally agree. This job has likely been changed for the worse forever. For the next few years at a minimum. I really hope the crew force comes to terms with this reality and votes on the contract accordingly.

That being said, I’m not holding my breath. Way too many are willing to sell their soul for a gold sticker from management on a “good boy chart” that doesn’t even exist. It’s weird.

How so? The company needs to move freight to countries that are requiring vaccination for entry. Are they supposed to stop flying into Brazil or Colombia? I'm not a company man, but I honestly can't think of another way for them to determine what pilots are able to fly into these countries in lieu of just asking them to self identify.

The point is that other pilot groups have been paid to be vaccinated. The bar has been set. We should not lower the bar.

Whether you are vaccinated or not is strictly your own business. If the company wants or needs to know, show us the money.

As usual, crickets from the union as far as money is concerned.

I’m vaccinated and boosted but I’m not answering. If the majority of us don’t answer then flights to destinations where it is required will end up with cancelled flights and no way for the airline to move the freight. We need an industry leading Covid agreement that provides 36 hours of pay per pilot for being vaccinated and boosted (48 hours no flying required after each dose equals 6 days off at 6 hours of pay each). Maybe then I’ll provide my vaccination status.

I agree if the company decides to mandate a new vaccine requirement then have a system bid and let everyone decide what they want to do? Getting vaccinated was one thing but now it’s already lowered to a booster every 9 months in Milan, where does it end a vaccination a month?

Yep!!! I talked to my rep and the company has been asked to negotiate on this a few times and the company has said no. Probably bc so many volunteer to give it away for free.
