A conversation can be had with our fellow pilots without using the key words or phrases. Professional conversation. This part has nothing to do with the union. Unions have historically been very successful in defending pilots having these professional conversations. STOP PLACING BLAME and lets get unified. Grass roots always prevails like in DC politics.

You tend to be divisive while preaching unity. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. Maybe you should work for the “news” or a political party. Your “talents” for sowing the seeds of division while pretending to have some sort of moral superiority would fit in well there.

How about this: let’s crack the whip on the crusty old captains continuously chasing $1M and not caring about the rest of the crew force because “they only have a couple years left”? From what I understand, it’s been smaller FO groups who have been uniform in holding the line in the past, and it’s those FO groups we have to thank for moving the company’s hand in the past. Time for the old left seaters to stand up to the violators.
There will always be some people in every category who will be on their own agenda. The fastest way to for us to get in trouble is to try to force them to follow YOUR agenda. We each have the power to control ourselves -- focus on that, keep it positive, and don't take your eyes off your opponent -- The Company.

I flew with an F/O who wore a hat when I was oiling on the -10. The Captain asked him about it, and he had a pretty unique reason which the Captain couldn't argue with. It had something to do with extra-curricular activities at our destination hotel in Campinas.

I have been watching open time and a large majority of those picking up AVA/Draft are senior and a few junior. Also, they are not union reps. Our biggest problem is the 50% of the people we are sitting next to in the airplane not the union. I have flown with many of the “helpers” and “greedy” the past few months.
Really? You watch open time and look up everyone who picks something up? Do you have a life, wife, hobby? Will this effort change anything?
