They ask your GPA right? I wouldn’t lie. They’re gonna look at your transcripts in the interview.

I had some bad grades early on in college and then I straightened up and finished the last couple years with good grades. They didn't ask me a single question about my grades at the interview. Presumably because a positive trajectory could be seen in the transcripts. So, from my personal experience, a few bad grades shouldn't be a factor at all if the rest of your schooling and overall 'package' paints a good picture.

As Moosefire said, they will look at your transcript. A bad semester won't kill you, but if you are barely squeaking by, you might have trouble getting a call or the job offer. They also take into account the school you are attending. CalTech vs local branch of a state college makes a difference. Get the grades up and show improvement is the best advice I can give you.

At least RedNeckU gives u some credibility. Although not making the best decisions all the time (true for most of us), you will be a survivor whether drinking Merlot with a koozie or eating squirrel like myself and keeping company with stronger intestinal fortitude individuals. Note: Not everything tastes like chicken…

I had plenty of friends in college that hunted squirrels. Sunday evening, when the cafeteria for the dorms were closed, it beat having to spend money for a burger. Money was tight. In the Ozarks, squirrels are abundant, and free. Fried up a mess of squirrels was good eating.

Some insight on this. I attended two colleges. The first university I was way over my skis in the curriculum. Grades suffered I had a 2.4gpa. With one 2.0 semester. After 2 years of that I moved on to another school decided basket weaving was easier and got my gpa up. They spent sometime on this in the interview. I was just honest and told them I didn’t have what it took to be successful at the previous school. That was it and then they hired me.
