App question
Hello everyone, I'm not sure where else to ask so here it goes. I just finished filling out the app online. However sadly I'm still a tad bit shy of the 500 TPIC requirement. I currently only have 420 or so. Meanwhile I filled out the app and answered all the questions. Every time I click no for the "do you currently have 500 TPIC" the app says you're not eligible and doesn't let me proceed. I was able to go back and keep at as "no" and still fill out the app and submit it. Will my app still go through despite selecting no to 500 TPIC?

Airline: FedEx
Fleet: B777
Payscale: year 3 FO
W-2 wage: 620K (Worked extensions in my favor)
Block hours flown 160 FO and maybe 100 RFO ?? 12 total landings in 2021
Days worked: 118 but realistically much less cut days off both ends with double DHDs
Commuter status: Commute but only do deadhead front and back trips so Not applicable
A family member of mine who is a 777 CA made 1.1m… Dont think he will post here

How difficult would it be to achieve this kind of pay per unit of time worked at FedEx? Could any third-year FedEx FO rack up these kinds of numbers? Or is this guy an outlier?
As a SWA pilot, I think it’d be all but impossible to achieve the same level of W-2 pay as a third-year FO even if a guy blocked legal yearly maximums. It’d be 100% impossible to do it while working only 118 days and blocking only 260 hours. It makes FedEx sound very appealing.

You’re going to have to be on the 777 and be on the road a lot, extending your trips, flying to “exotic” locations around Asia, and most likely wh*ring yourself out to the company to some extent in order to pull those numbers. If you’re on a domestic widebody and just fly your line the number will be closer to $200k.

No, those numbers don't add up. Not saying that the total pay wasn't accurate, but the pay with the total days of work on their calendar is not accurate. A wide body FO on third year pay makes $191/hour. Then you add in the international override of $8/hour, you get $200/hour rounded up for ease of calculations. If that pilot sold back all of their vacation for the most they could, that amount would be $191*138hours for for a total of $26k. That would leave them needing to make $590k in the remaining 118 days. That would require 2,950 hours of pay credit in 118 days or 26 hours per day. Even at 200%, which you don't get until you are extended for more than about 2 days (12 credit hours) that person would have to be scheduled for 13 hours per day every day. Yes, there is disruption pay and extra duty period pay, but that would not make up the difference required each day considering most international trips are TAFB with a little Block Override pay.
So, to sum it up, the guy is full of it. They are either lying about their pay, or the amount of days they worked on their calendar.
