Chuck is running a consulting firm now. Our MEC will hire chuck over a lawyer. An expert who handles contracts for a living or the “hey I read a book idea” joker chuck negotiating for us. If the number in the lawsuit are correct I would rather pay a lawyer $5milion than lose more than a $100 milion. Hope that lawsuit unites our pilot group and knocks our MEC straight. 2 year until the CBA is up for and crickets.

Maybe you and others have a differnet opinion to unite all of the pilots. We need something because the MEC has not done anything and in my view hides info we want. Try getting the survey results...that is impossible then the “i read a book” chick dyer retirement plan really split us up-which is what the company wants.
I agree with you suing does not and did not help. We, not our MEC, needs to come together. I dont know how but we have to.

I can't believe those guys are still members.
And I can't believe the MEC won't tell us what amount they settled for.
I can't believe guys are still even speaking to them. Donate the settlement money to a charity and then we'll talk.

It was National ALPA that settled with them. Not our local MEC.

And that should tell you something right there.
As in, ALPA National was fearful enough of losing outright that they didn't want to test it in court. Maybe those 4 weren't as dumb as you think. Just maybe there was some fire with that smoke.

Maybe, maybe not. At the end of the day no matter what the outcome, how does that improve our negotiating position. The company is literally laughing their asses off at the lack of unity in this pilot group.

Someone settles a lawsuit because they’re guilty? Not because fighting it is costly?
Can’t quite figure out why ALPA National didn’t pursue settlement from the getgo.
And if the 4 just wanted the truth to be out, why didn’t they continue to fight?
Still waiting on the Plaintiffs Statement post settlement. Since May 12, 2017. Must still be in draft

Not their current Quarter which is scheduled to be released in a little over 3 weeks.

UPS seen insulated from FedEx guidedown
Sep 23, 2019
• The FedEx (FDX -1.8%) blame game on the impact of a slowing global economy looks puzzling to UBS.
• Analyst Thomas Wadewitz notes FDX international export revenue decline of -3.7% in FQ1 was essentially no different than the -4.1% and -4.0% for the preceding two quarters.
• "Greater cost inflation [in ground shipping] and a more painful impact from lost [ Amazon.com ] business also appear to be factors in the sharp guide down," he adds.
• The read-through from Wadewitz is positive for UPS (UPS -1.2%), which has more leverage to ecommerce and is skewed more heavily to B2B in both the domestic and international express businesses
