Not sure what the seat movement looks like at Brown but something to consider is that Purple has extremely restrictive seat movement and rarely holds bids. If the ability to tailor fit your type of flying and QOL with your seniority is important then I would look beyond Purple.

I know you’re not, I was giving you a little grief. Good to see you guys are hiring like crazy, it would be great to be able to have proper staffing and trade trips occasionally.

Would any current FedEx or UPS employees mind posting their last year's total W-2 earnings with details (years longevity, days worked, hours blocked, overtime flown, etc.) for comparison? Min guarantee x hourly rate x 12 doesn't really tell the whole story.
Thanks for all your great input, everyone!

I definitely do not think one chooses Fedex over UPS or vice versa for the money. If you are, then you are making a mistake. IMO, one chooses one over the other due to culture and management relationship, flying, equipment, bases, etc, not money. For example, as previously mentioned, Fedex has a lot of new planes coming, but the vast majority if not all are replacements. UPS orders are net gains, to the tune of 30+ net increase on a fleet of 250 planes. UPS has no plans to retire any planes, in fact look at the technological investment being made on the 75/76 and the A300. I would also not be surprised if they added further orders.
