Junior FO there now was hired sometime in early 2006. Movement is glacial. Most guys are either very senior or local (or both) and the only thing that's gonna make them move is an open left seat or retirement. Obviously there will be movement but nothing like any other base. Tough to guess on when a new hire could touch it but it's measured in years for sure.

Everything is relative...If fedex keeps hiring at the rate they are and the movement is consistent with movement in the past it will take ~5-7 years to get there. (5-10% a year in seniority movement, and the most junior FOs there are about 60% of company). Pending no fleet changes, domicile closures, openings, or WWIII you'll be there in no time!
I guess what I'm saying is, there is NO way to tell. Some LAX FOs would be more senior as MEM Captains, on each respective list--that's bonkers.

I've been here a year and a half and generally speaking can hold DDH trips (via VTOs or secondary lines) that start and finish in LAX or a nearby West Coast city. In other words, there are some deals even better than living in the base and don't take nearly as long to hold. YMMV.
