Im of the opinion the Ual buy rumor is only to sucker a few more to hang on long enough for stINC hire a few more suckers. To eventually take the rest of the asa flying. There really is nothing other than that hope they can bait with. Very close source 20yr fa at Ual former cal says their union hasn't said anything about a new merge, not that they would but I have asked for a look out on that front. For what it's worth.

You are right wrong term my mistake.. did not mean to imply that but in a brilliant scope clause the afa at uninted has written in that any flying done by any entity owned by Ual as uninted can only be staffed by Ual fas. When I get a chance I quote exact terminology used.

So in other words... if united bought another airline then those FA's become United fa's over night.. they hand in the old ID's and pick up new United ID's.. sounds pretty simple to me right? lol I think alot of people think that United CANT buy anyone, which is not the case... they can and they would never agree to something that wouldnt allow them to buy anyone.... you just make those FA's of the acquired airline United FA's no problem

It’s old outdated language from the AFAs contract in 1989. If they really wanted to, UAL can fight it or just save the legal fees and pay the FAs off.
