And just for the record:
This is not a personal attack on the certain captan recognized today-
More of a broad statement for all.
And by the way "Junior" is not the only one who feels this way I'm sure, just the only one willing to voice it,

why do we continually celebrate Captains who have been at the company 30 yrs.
Way to go you've chosen not to further your career therefore creating stagnation in the list and maxing out our company's pay scale for 15 + yrs-
The sickest thing is that I've flown with ynumerous amounts of these captains the past month that are all talking about now needing to get there stuff out to Major airlines-
Hahahahaha what a joke this place is!!

The 30 year Captain that chose to nurse a sick spouse... or kid. The one that stayed home to help his dad keep the family farm. The one that couldn't afford a college education..but whose kids damn sure got one. Bunch of clowns. They laughed while carrying a picket sign when doing so could cost you a career... You'll never know how heavy those are. It's a gut buster having your employer take your picture while you picket. They laughed while risking their job to get the pay over $13 an hour, get you insured, cancellation and deadhead pay... and make sure you aren't staying in the Motel 6 at the airport... Hilarious. Next time you write something up...walk into the chief pilot and tell them you quit...There was a time refusing an airplane might cost you a job...Laugh through that...

Kind of like what happened last year to Scott Park, when his failure to make a half-court shot went viral, and he was mocked a thousand ways to Sunday. I wonder how it made some of those people feel to find out the real reason why his shot was a bit on the feeble side...

You can make countless excues as to why they didn't take the job back then. But with the emergence of the LCC's there is no excuse other then just being entitled and lazy. Great you have 15k hours in a jet, what else have you done in your life??? The number of times I flew with someone that felt entitled to a job with a major was astounding. Just because you have some experience X place for X time dosen't entitle you to anything. Unless your regional has a flow, you have nothing at all and are equally qualified to the guy sitting in the right seat next to you.
At this point anyone over 10 years at a regional as a CA is a liability and NOT an asset like they think they are.

Hummm maybe because if they realized that with a small sacrifice they would make more in the long run? 6 months no insurance for your kids, a spouse could always get a job to make it work. Couldn't make it work due to living on the edge, get a loan. All I see is excuses, its as if you are a millennial. Full of excuses and expecting everyone to fell sorry for you...

I'm guessing there was no reading comprehension test where you work

I worked for your company (XJT) first so, no. However your sentence is grammatically incorrect. It should say "I'm guessing there were not any reading comprehension test where you worked". But I'm guessing there were not any spelling or grammer tests when you were hired either, so I can understand your deficiencies.
Also if you are going to try and call me out for my reading comprehension. Which I dont entirely see why, since I addreased many of the issues you brought up in your post. One should probably also properly format a coherent sentence. Just saying... ;-D
Those 30 year guys were hired in the late 80's so they chose to sit out on the early 90's hiring, the late 90's hiring, the mid 2000 hiring, and the early 2010 hiring... Sure there was the late 90's bust, the 2001 bust and 2008 bust. But guess what there has always been a bust. The only thing that separates the has beens from the has not is those who always try to better them selves.
