Why should I stay where I'm at?
Go to endeavor. They are taking almost all the ATL flying.

As great of a place as ASA used to be, it ain't the place no more. Especially if you desire ATL.

(If you are hired at ASA now, you probably won't be able to hold ATL anyhow. Probably would go to LGA.) In case you are unaware, ASA is parking all 50 seaters this year-and many are going to endeavor. The ATL seniority situation will soon really hit the skids.

I hate the way this is turning out. I hate the way Delta has done ASA. I keep this in mind when I pay for travel.

I used to work there. I very much enjoyed my time there. Wonderful people who did their best in a crappy situation-working for a legacy partner who mostly treated them like crap.. The reality of the situation is no good. Sadly, I think ASA is probably done in a couple of years. I think the ATL base is going away sooner than that.

If you do consider Endeavor, make sure you read all of the fine print including the terms and conditions of their bonuses. I don't know about them personally but I have heard there are some interesting conditions. Those bonuses arent going to exist after 2018 (for the time being). Also consider Endeavor has opened and closed ATL before and their ATL base is probably going senior. Our future is very questionable at ASA and ATL CA or FO is the most senior and fastest shrinking base at our company. Just do yourself a favor and do your homework before you make a decision.

Very good advice!

I really hope the tide turns for ASA. Maybe it will.

Good advice about Endeavor though. I didn't know much of that.

Not just endeavor, SkyWest has gotten more of the 200s than endeavor will. They claimed they would replace older SkyWest planes, that was a complete and utter lie. The SkyWest Delta 200 fleet has grown by already over 15 in 2017...

Total raw deal. It sure is hard to see how ASA has wound up unlucky so many times. When I think about all the other regionals which have gotten flows and had other big breaks, it's hard to fathom how things broke the wrong way for ASA so many times.

Bunch of excellent people. Deserve much better than this hosing by delta and Skywest

Agree with all sentiment about ASA. I worked for them twice and when the news broke last December, had only been there a little over a year. Though I didn't want to leave, figured the sooner the better if I was going to land anywhere else. Decided to pull the plug and go to work for one of the AA WO's. Years ago, I had friends who stuck it out at Eastern Airlines hoping for the best, and we all know what happened there. Still hoping somehow ASA survives.

9E here. Bonuses are currently being renegotiated. Union is attempting to put them straight into hourly pay (~$25.5/hr increase across the board). Company is fighting back on that but we are working toward something betting along with vacation/sick accrual, 401k, and other things to improve QoL. In the end the bonus will still be around long after 2018 in one form or another.

Also ATL is very junior on the FO side at the moment. There are guys fresh out of ground school who got ATL on the latest vacancy notice.

18 months for ATL CA too... For a non previous 9E employee. Former 9E pilots coming back have gotten ATL in a matter of months, as CA.

Until there is vote for pay there is no guarantee retention continues or gets converted to rates. Highly likely but until the deal is inked you never know.

As far as ATL and new FOs, your statement is false. I know several people hired in Feb that are stuck in NY that can't hold ATL. ATL is junior on FO side but new hires still need to plan on spending some time in a NY crash pad because hotels are to expensive there.

Let's not forget the ASA pilots took a stand and held firm for too long on work rules and a contract. Their union wouldn't play ball and refused to look at anything with a change in bidding software. Don't think for a second that it's poor ASA and bid Delta behind the curtain pulling the strings. The ASA pilots made a stand and they're living with the consequences. The time to negotiate has passed. The time to leave...... now.
