Here is what a regional airline's management recently leaked. By the end of 2018, only 3 regionals will fly for mother Dixie. 9E, OO and RP. Plan accordingly. No sources will be cited.
added: The order of operational importance will at that point be RP, OO and then a downsizing 9E as their 50-seaters die off. CRJ900s will fly as long as they can staff but CRJs all together will not be the regional flavor of papa doodoo.

Here's to hoping ASA is bailed out by another airline AWAC style...but don't bet your career on it.

Yep,sounds about right. ASA side will be bought back by delta and merged with endeavor using the date of hire integration for seniority. More than likely first-quarter next year.

The Root Cause
So aw shucks Ed and his slew foot half brother Gil finally come out to the press.. "We let you down"... you have some pronoun trouble Ed... "YOU" let everyone down... while you were at the Masters instead of inside the terminal dealing with stranded passengers yourself... and Gil ... "We promise a deep dive to find the root cause of the problem"... You and Eddie want to find the root cause of the problem.. Hold hands and go in the executive wash room together and look in the mirror.... Root Cause Found.. Don't like it??.. The truth hurts.... but hey.. $500 million in first quarter profit is what really matters... azzhat

Sorry - acquisition and merger is not a part of the plan. Consolidation of all subcontractors and bringing "in house" is.

They who can staff shall survive. Those who can grow will prosper. Unless you're owned by SkyWest Inc. apparently.
