How's that? I acknowle that I dropped an "s" or that both of our responses were correct, if I added a S to test.

But in the end it really doesn't matter. I'll enjoy my right seat at the airline you wish to work and move on with my life. Enjoy your regional life

Now that we've determined that none of us are English teachers, we can talk about what truly matters. ASA is F*%ked and those that are on the fence about leaving need to pull their head out their &ss and go elseware. You've never had a better opportunity then now to move on. EVERYONE is hiring. If you're not getting called by Delta, so What! Go to a LCC, Cargo, anything. Get another type rating! 10,000 hours means NOTHING if it's all CRJ time.

I'm former ASA, spent 9 years there. Some of the best people in the industry by far. Don't sell yourself short!

You can make countless excues as to why they didn't take the job back then. But with the emergence of the LCC's there is no excuse other then just being entitled and lazy. Great you have 15k hours in a jet, what else have you done in your life??? The number of times I flew with someone that felt entitled to a job with a major was astounding. Just because you have some experience X place for X time dosen't entitle you to anything. Unless your regional has a flow, you have nothing at all and are equally qualified to the guy sitting in the right seat next to you.

At this point anyone over 10 years at a regional as a CA is a liability and NOT an asset like they think they are.
Sorry, but I will have to humbly disagree. We have some incredible captains with invaluable experience. Some of them were not ever able to move on. 9/11, bankruptcies, and the age 65 rule caused quite a few of these guys and gals to have to blaze a trail for you and me that would never have been possible had they been able to move on like they had originally planned. Nobody comes here planning to stay, but it happens, and not necessarily because of laziness or inadequacy. The reason we have the best training in the industry is because of the vast experience in our training department, and most of them never planned to be here as long as they have been. Life is not always fair. Some of those folks are living proof.

Rant over.

But yet they can all move on Spirit, Frontier, and Allegiant are all hiring. They might not be a Major but they sure beat a regional.

None of those have better work rules than ASA and for the IPs at ASA not better pay rates. It's great that you are young and can move at will, but it's not an easy decision for some. I hope everyone makes it out, but to each their own. No reason to **** on someone for their individual decisions.

OMFG this isn't personal! ASA has a great contract and we all benefited from it. The people telling you to leave are doing so because in two years (maybe less) you won't have a job.
