The attrition doesn't help the junior people as most of the attrition is from the bottom of the list.

I am not sure if you are sarcastic or not, but if the guy want to be ORD based he will be on reserve indefinitely. I am hitting the 2 years mark soon and I would be on reserve in any base other than EWR and IAH. In those bases I am a very junior line holder....

Hey guys. Thanks for all the info so far. My goal is to be ord based and I am new to the career. Just finished up with interview process with a few different regionals. I only applied to places that have Chicago bases. So you can figure out the options based off that. Just the whole industry makes you wonder if your making the right Decision, but I didn't start flying to teach my entire life. Thanks

Yes, because I'd rather be two years in this career as an FO on reserve pay and 1200 hours, than a captain with captain pay 1000 SIC and 1000PIC time... I'm sure that the 1200 hour FO will look better to a Major because he has allowed himself to suffer for two years on reserve and low pay but showed loyalty, than the captain with more experience and proved he would do what is needed to better himself.

And, there are also people who don't know the difference between "life" and "live"...

Question from a SkyWest guy, what are the hours you can train in the simulator? At SkyWest we start as early at 4am with briefing and go as late as until 2am in the sim.
Just wondering what a real contract provides, thanks.
