I was hired in early 2008 on the CRJ...currently around 300 from upgrade. Granted probably the top 50 can't or won't upgrade. At the rate of 6 upgrades per month I've only got another 3.5 years to go! Currently waiting on a class date at another carrier so it doesn't matter...

175s for xjt?
Just read that xjt is ready with a program etc. to accept 175s on one of the other forums. I don't believe that one bit. Anyone have any further info on that?
Also, thoughts on working at xjt?
Thanks!

May I ask why you don't believe it one bit? XJT is a place that I could stand to be stuck at. I can not say the same for those carriers offering quick upgrades and large signing bonuses.

It's true, we have everything setup for a 175 to be delivered, just missing the pilots with type ratings and the plane. No reason to type people without a plane. We do have a few people on property that are typed to get the program going.

Leaning to the starboard side as well. woman and children first! Well the woman do get in lifeboats alittle earlier but that's a different argument

The people who are rumored to be typed are not. But there is a training and certification program in place.
