New hires were awarded their bases during indoc without a system wide vacancy bid. Happens all the time.

Cool. That's what I assumed. Thanks. Seems IAH gets smaller every new system bid, might be a little bit to get back to it unless you were awarded it at a new hire.

if the entire class got IAH, are they only hiring for the 145? Or do they still have CRJ classes (Atlanta is junior base, right?)
still single occupancy hotel in training or are they doubling up?

We are hiring for both the ERJ and the CRJ. I was referring to the ERJ class, since the OP was asking about Houston.

Maybe the start of some good movement here.
Before you get all excited, remember:

This P.N. isn't the beginning of the type of movement that brings copious upgrades and true attrition throughout the seniority group. This P.N. is a temporary bandaid because enough junior captains have managed to get a job elsewhere.

It'd be totally different if this was a result of new airplanes/growth, but it isn't.

10 is a drop in the bucket when you've got 400-500 FOs on top of you waiting to upgrade.

What will happen is that for every 12 captains that leave 12 FOs will leave the same time. They will aim to replace those each month with new hires. They'll get 6. Month after month.

Lot of FOs leaving from what I've heard from friends there. I know my class in January had a few guys from XJT in it, and all the subsequent classes have as well.
