Not able to assign airport standby more than 6 days in a bid period
Not able to assign airport standby on the last day of a block of reserve days
Short Call Reserve - 2 hour call out.
Long Call Reserve - 12 hour call out.
Aggressive Pick Up Window for reserve pilots.
Floating Reserve Lines - 14 days off.
The largest block of days off for reserve pilots are immovable.
Automatic released at 5pm local on last day of a block of reserve days
Automatically released 15 minutes after block in if no trip on skedplus
10% of reserve lines must be Long Call
10% of reserve lines must be Floating Reserve Lines

That all sounds good. I'd take it. That's how our ridiculous ready reserve should've bee to begin with.

That being said, their are bits and pieces of our separate contracts that are good. We should try the approach of take the good and leave the bad.

Well, that number was since last report and included expected separations in February. We only lost 102 in the month of January and that number is offset by a few new-hires (20-ish IIRC). That's still a good amount of attrition. It'll be interesting to see how the attrition reports trend over the next few months.

what does it matter? 145 left per the report.....i don't see the new hire numbers to offset this attrition. they need to start including amount of new hires to the attrition reports that they send out. the included expected separations is always more than the numbers sent out.

And now $7500 for typed CRJ or ERJ pilots.
Is the DFW base still shrinking? Is it only CRJ or ERJ as well?
How long before a new hire can hold it?
Thanks.

The CRJ DFW base is open and as far as I know isn't shrinking. The ERJ DFW base isn't open quite yet. As far as holding it the CRJ has been having position notices about every 3 months. If you can't hold DFW right out of training just wait for a position notice and bid any base you like, any new hire can pretty much hold any base but all new hires will be on reserve until resignation, termination, or death.

I would say a new hire on the CRJ side could hold DFW pretty quickly. That is if our company actually put out position notices prior to any new hire class so that current pilots could actually bid away from places they don't desire to be, leaving openings in a base that a new hire would like...

Does that happen? Good question...ExpressJet CRJ (ASA) hasn't hired in a number of years (real hiring...not 10-20 a year) so who knows if the people in the hamster palace know anything about actually handling vacancies in a way that makes the most sense.

Come to ExpressJet with the understanding that very few people in mid-level management positions have undergraduate, much less graduate, degrees in any subject. Oh, and if you're okay never upgrading.
