And another thing about you guys being grandfathered. As an ASA pilot, I view that as wasting negotiating capital on something that could be used to benifit all of us, but instead leaves us out to dry. If that's what will get this done, then fine, show me the money. Lots of it.

The reality on the LASA side is we r happy delaying the jcba and maintaining the status quo. Our current contract Is better than anything else we'll be offered.

However, as far as being grandfathered, I don't see how that will bring us together. One set of rules benifits everyone. I'm gonna go out on a limb and possibly offend someone by saying this, but what makes you guys so special that you get to keep stuff from before? What happens when the next contract is up? I take no issue with the LXJT side looking out for them, but you were bought for the purpose of merging the two together. Why are you so resistant to allowing that to happen? It's a merger, so lets merge.

Edit: checking in? Really? There's bigger problems to worry about

I'm not against a merger. But if the only way to get a vote to pass is to grandfather the ERJ guys, then I don't see a problem with that. Ideally the CRJ guys should be brought up to the ERJ contract. If the company is willing to do that, then I'm all for it. But again, if they are only willing maintain current costs, why should the ERJ side take concessions? If the tables were turned, I would gladly keep what I have in the CRJ contract to let the ERJ guys keep their big ticket items, again, assuming the company doesn't want to increase pilot costs.

Check in is not that big of a deal to me if I can check in on my phone AND I get something in return. I just mentioned it as a concession for the ERJ side.

Sure, you would like us to give up our things to help bring you guys up. I rather just stay separate, and not take concessions, thank you very much.

How about we try to bring you guys up and if we can't do that, then let's get a deal where no one takes a concession (grandfathering). Or are you saying you want us to take concessions in order to benefit just the CRJ guys?

I think we would all love to have all those great things you guys have. I would be lying if I said I didn't want those. I just don't see how the company would ever agree to that in this environment. However we should be and should have been trying that from the beginning. If we can't get it, then I say again, show me the money. Why do you guys get to have your cake and eat it too, but we get left holding an empty bag? That doesn't seem fair does it? You want to keep your stuff, the fine. I want a big fat signing bonus. Like 5 figures after taxes

WOW! I am sure that management sees an answer to this problem by removing flying from the profitable side and giving it to the non profit side. If you guys accepted the ASA contract, ASA.. I mean opps ExpressJet (remember we purchased you) would be marginally profitable.

Flame-baiter

1 Our flying is protected within the Skyw group by our cpa.

2 xjt or Skyw doesnt award or shift flying to new types, Dal does.

And you're watching the condensed version. I had to watch the 2.5-3 hour version...twice because the viewer crashed with ten minutes to go the first time.
