What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

Maybe if the ASA MEC used it's resources to bargain in good faith rather than producing a series of videos to spread lies and fears regarding SmartPref, then we'd see some progress on a new TA.

Good one. What resources will get the XJT MEC to focus on a JCBA instead of a new PBS system? I'm all ears.

Do any of you guys think Delta is not hiring Captains on purpose? It's hard to think just because you have 4,000 hours pic you can't be trained.

You cannot be serious. It's difficult to engage in three way negotiations when the other two parties aren't willing to negotiate. The ASA MEC has had a plan ready to execute since the TA failed. We showed up at the first and only post-TA negotiating session last summer prepared and authorized to negotiate down to our bottom line. We presented the joint "opener" with the XJT side and management laughed us out of the room, asking for the real proposal. Then the XJT side dropped the bomb that it WAS their bottom line and since they had a new MEC, they lacked authorization to negotiate further. Next they announced that they only wanted to talk about PBS, and that's where we've been since.
So spare me your sarcasm and hate. The ASA CNC is going to have at least one opening soon, I hope you apply. I'm sure you will single handedly wrap it all up in a month.

And what the XJT MEC said was true. The MEC chair and every single voting member other than two of them were replaced after the failed TA vote. The XJT MEC conducted a scientific phone poll and internet poll to see what was the reason why their pilots voted no. They had no real authority to negotiate before that.
As for the "joint" opener, by definition, it isn't joint if you didn't agree to it with the XJT MEC. So it sounds like to me that you guys just had your plan and stomped and kicked when you didn't get your way. Well, look at how that has turned out. Your MEC has wasted all this time on PBS just to be slapped down by an arbitrator and we are no closer now than we were a year ago.
So spare me your revisionist history again. You have a propensity to do that over and over again. Or are you going to go back and admit that Acey is actually two syllables now?
Anyway, the XJT MEC is now focusing their resources on another TA since your mec lost the arbitration. Unless your mec will find some other way to stall?

Pi$$ off Luis. Take your broken record preaching back to The Pipe. I'm not playing your BS Jedi mind games any more. You're a line pilot who knows only what their propaganda tells you. Why you feel empowered to be their unappointed MEC spokesperson, I'll never understand.

I really don't see under what circumstance XJT(ERJ) will be awarded new flying. However, it's a great place to build time as FO and work the system to enjoy the QOL while you are in progress to major.

Turbine PIC
Of course turbine PIC is important and good... But in a few years do you think the majors will care as much about it? Or will 2000 sic turbine be enough to get in the door?
