They aren't hurting that bad... let me resign rather than give me a LOA.

Why were you trying to get an LOA? That would be pertinent information to lend to your statement.

Hiring heavy eh? I hope so. This pool thing is getting old. I heard a rumor of the 24th for a class to all my fellow poolies. We shall see.

Not sure if it's crj or erj but I got it from a friend who is a Fo that ran into one of his schoolhouse instructors out on the line. Who knows but Im just putting it out there. And 24th as in sept and if that is true they should be letting everyone know this week. So fingers crossed and hope its true but don't hold yr breath.

Actually the opposite, IMO. Not that we're hurting bad at the moment, but they anticipate needing you in the short term. Totally short sighted. Doubtful that recruitment is on the same page as manpower, err whatever they call themselves.

Exactly. They are just hiring heavy for interviews for more people to sit in the pool. Just so they are ready if attrition skyrockets.

Remember guys, the better your interview score is, the faster you can reach for shore! So study hard, there is no sim now.

Forget the exact number but staffing was heavy for a period of time there.

This is just my take on it and I could be wrong. If that rumor about United kickin 145's to the curb and bringin in bigger CRJ's is true that will be pretty sick! Hopefully it is true. Get some movement and get the L-Xjet of their high horse. I know that's immature but they are annoying.
We are in the slowest month of the year and have no reserve captains. They are going to have to upgrade. I have no idea how we are going to staff this winter with no one in upgrade right now.

So even if they call today that's only one week notice? Kinda weird
