Also, you referenced Captain Tony's post about the PBS process agreement. That's why the arbitration came to a head. Although your MEC as I'm told, try to do everything they could to stop it from going there (for obvious reasons). The ASA MEC is disputing your MEC developing this. As the JCBA got voted down, things died in it, the PBS process agreement included. You keep referencing it and hoisting it like its some kind of banner and its dead... Well we'll find out soon enough anyways.
Have no idea what JW looks like as I've never met him and probably won't ever. Don't care, but apparently his testimony on the stand was awfully bad. But you never know in arbitration which way things will go, we'll likely find out in January. According to the transcript, however, I'd say you're looking at a Hail Mary to win it. But you simply never know.

The ASA MEC doesn't want you to give up anything except incorporate Flightline. In fact, Flightline can incorporate everything your MEC wants in a PBS system-- except Globalization. Why anyone would WANT that is beyond me. Well, it makes complete sense when you think about why you want it so bad... It allows you a cost savings so enormous it would allow you to keep all your "outliers"-- At the expense of the ASA pilots. Why is that so hard? Just take Flightline as your PBS system, tweak it so you get everything you want (excepts Globalization) and make it the best system out there? You can have ALL the rest, ALL of it.

Well that's progress then! We can bring you up to our contract standards AND each of us gets to keep our separate bidding systems. What's wrong with that?
Again, both MECs are doing what's best for their pilots. Nothing less nothing more. Stop taking it personal. There is a process and it's working it's way to completion. But you guys keep coming in here and whining about it. The fact is that the erj MEC doesn't feel that your system can do the things we do. We can trade 24/7 regardless of bidding. You guys are locked out. That's just one example. So don't say we can have everything when that's a blatant lie!
Let the process work and see how the chips fall. We may end up with flight line or we may have two separate systems. Just chill out already. If your systems is really that awesome and ours half as horrible as you make it out to be, then we will all be screaming for flight line. So what's the dam problem?

I reference his post because I'm making the point that your MEC has previously agree to a process in which we may end up with two separate bidding systems. Just as the two MECs have previously agreed to other sections of the contract such as pac check, off, filling of vacancies, physical standards, drug testing, etc, those sections will not change in any new TA because they can both agree on them. Well, your MEC can do that also with the PBS process agreement. But they changed their mind now. That's the only reason why it went to arbitration. The only difference is that this was negotiated as a separate agreement and was inserted into the TA. The arbitrator will answer this for us and I'm positive that if you lose, your MEC will find another excuse to grieve it some other way. So can you guys give it a rest already?
This is a lie. In either case, crj pilots keep flight line.

There were a number of things previously agreed to that are no longer on the table. You guys would've been able to keep your retirement, OJI bank and everything for 3 years, that's not on the table anymore either, BECAUSE IT DIED WHEN THE JCBA failed. So in your view ASA is doing something illegal there too? You just pick the "PBS process agreement" because it fits your mantra now. Don't worry you'll be whining about the others later, I suspect.
And I'm ready to "let the chips fall where they may." Are you?

You want do a history and see how many posts you've responded to PBS, using the "PBS process agreement" line vs me? And you say I'm taking it personal? Whatever dude. You're on here more than anybody I've ever seen. And nobody changed their mind. Anything agreed to in the PBS process agreement DIED WHEN THE JCBA WENT DOWN IN FLAMES. You and your MEC keep trying to resurrect it. Then cry foul when our MEC tries and protects our own pilots. And yes we can tweak flightline to give you 24/7 trade. That's EASY. We can tweak flightline and give YOU EVERYTHING YOU WANT. Except Globalization. Different algorithm, fundamentally different. You NEED Smartpref to shore up money to keep your OJI Bank, retirement, and a few others... At our expense. The difference between ASA's MEC and LXJT's is that our Reps know PBS, some inside and out. Your reps are extremely uninformed when it comes to these systems. That's part of the problem. So many of your guys scream bloody murder about Uniteds GLOBALIZED PBS system. Smartpref incorporates Globalization, why then would you want it so bad? Why don't you list off the things you want in a PBS system and I guarantee Flighline can do it, except Globalization?

Yes I am. And that's my point. The only time I point to the PBS process agreement is when you guys bring this up. You just did it on this thread. And I bring it up to show that it's something both MECs have already agreed upon before. They just have to agree to it again, like they will with most of the contract, and we can move on in negotiating something where we don't lose any of the good things in our contracts.
As for trading, your scheduling committee has confirms that they can shorten the trade black out to 3 days. Your system cannot let people trade while they are churning your trips because it doesn't know what would be legal. It's been confirmed so either you are misinformed or you are lying about it. The fact is that the PBS process agreement would have the ASA pilots keep flight line for the duration of the JCBA.
I don't know what you are trying to get out of me but I'm here to tell you to stop taking it personal. The process is working its way through. So what else is there to discuss?
So if any of you guys bring up this PBS dispute, I'll bring up all these things again. If none of you bring it up, I will continue to wait for the process to work its way through.

And "we" are not gonna agree to anything "again" that our QOL gets killed on to support your "outliers". I'm not talking about tomorrow, but after a JCBA...such as New equip? Or how about a brand new MEC that goes ahead and "sunsets" flightline? Yet you keep all your "outliers" at the expense of ASA's QOL... Not gonna happen, better hope you win the arbitration.

Sub Thread
Is there a way to make this PBS/Flightline/Smartpref ****ing match go away? Make it a sub thread or start new elsewhere? I can't imagine caring any less about this dead horse... There is a disagreement and it isn't gonna get fixed here on a forum. I know what I'll vote for given the option and as a junior guy, globalization wouldn't suck. I happen to enjoy my current system and wish it was a little more user friendly and wish they'd have spent more time on it in training. I appreciate y'all fighting as hard as ya do but this ****'s old...

You know what would be nice? If the union can get their act together and get this thing done. Almost every airline except for us, envoy and endenvor, are growing. They even just paid endenvor bc life is so bad there. Its starting to **** me off to watch everyone but us grow and get people moving over to the left seat.

Cant believe you guys are still fighting over PBS!! Do you see whats going on around you!! TSA,Mesa,PDT,PSA are all getting flying XJT should have!! Instead your so focused on PBS you don't even see the 3 year XJT plan of extinction... I firmly believe if you had a joint contract right now you would be flying E175's and more 900's...by the time you get a PBS deal on the XJT side you will only have 1 year to use it!! With 1/3 of the pilots that could have used it...
