Yes, I was ok when Skywest decided to give you guys some of the 70 seaters and I would be happy if you were awarded more. Why wouldn't anyone at the company be? It has no bearing on me or LJXT whatsoever. And if we don't want to take concessions and deal with getting the Erj all being parked, so be it if that happens. I wished that everyone would understand that point of view instead of acting like you are appalled.

Yes, the Majors gave it up however, the Commuters picked it up!! So BOTH pilot groups are GUILTY!!

Yes, both groups are guilty to some extent. But some are more guilty than others. If scope wasn't ever given away in the first place, you wouldn't be asking others to do what you couldn't/wouldn't do yourself when you had the chance to vote no or resign under protest for management taking your scope away.

Not sure who? But, it doesn't matter! Looks like you fly the 145 and most of those are being phased out. So, my question to you, is your airline growing? If not, where is the flying going? Back to the major, or another commuter, or just shrinking? If any of those are true and the route that you flew with said A/C is now being flown with another carrier (same paint) you just got "SCOPED"! Sort of understand now?

My point is, if we say NO to scope concessions, the 737 that I fly today maybe flown by ABC commuter airline tomorrow. In my day it was called NY Air!! (look up it's history.) My point that was lost on everyone is when I was in your position they were starting to bring up the concept of training contracts. I told my employer that I would not sign a training contract and that I would resign! Did I think my lone action would change anything? NO! But, I could look myself in the mirror and know I wasn't part of the problem!! But, if EVERYONE said NO then things would change. Fortunately, I think things are beginning to change. I'm not posting this to make people mad, I'm just trying to get them to think out of the box.
Most of us want the flying to be taken back to mainline because we want to move on from regional hell. Unfortunately for those who didn't go the military route, this has become the stepping stone. If more aircraft are outsourced due to a relaxation of scope once again, then we will be stuck at our respective regional. I'm glad Delta is leading the charge in taking back some of that flying but guess what? If APA relaxes scope and allows more outsourcing what do you think will happen to the other carriers? Yeah you can blame the regional pilots for working where they do but outsourcing starts with you! By the way just FYI since you are on an XJT thread, we are not seeing any growth and probably won't for the existence of the company. We actually said NO (don't have to go back too far in history for it) to a concessionary contract. If the flying gets shifted to another regional guess who decides that?

No, my airline isn't growing. That flying is being shifted to cheaper regionals than mine. So, yes, another carrier is flying those routes. Do you understand that thats NOT being scope as you say? I want you to scope in EVERYTHING that has the name of your company on it, regardless if it's a 145, 175, or a 1900. By the way, I voted NO for concessions that would've helped my company keep some of your flying you gave away. But I rather my company go out of business than to take a pay cut. Just as you could've voted no and quit if you gave away scope.

The point being, we are both guilty. But you are more guilty than I.

Yep they've finally been muzzled. ASA MEC must have decided their tactic on here by using them was backfiring.

You are crazy. It was given up by mainline period. Blaming the commuters for flying it is stupid. I agree we need to act together to raise pilots pay for all aircraft no matter what size company flies them but it was mainline's to give or retain.....period.
