I said the whipsaw is a reality because ALPA has failed and the mainline pilots participated so that they could get cheap regional feed so as to free up more money for mainline bargaining.....Sorry, but sometimes reality sucks.

The groups that play ball are being rewarded, and those that don't are being penalized.....The ASA pilots are going to take care of themselves....You may want to get to work working on your resume...

Can somebody please define what the amount is "That we are worth"? Who decides, what is the anount, and is it sustainable?

The fact is, Delta and United have been whipsawing their regionals for almost two decades now. American is getting into the act now, however it is really USAirways which also has years of experience whipsawing their regionals. There is nothing to "buy into"....It is a fact and has been for many years.

The fact is, ALPA/APA and the mainline MECs have perpetuated and encouraged this whipsaw.....I'm sorry you are still living in the past of a day when you were the lone provider for CAL with a 10 percent cost plus CPA.....Time to wake up and realize that is in the past and it is time to deal with reality.....

83% didn't agree with you merchant and nothing has changed. You and Tony's way of thinking are the minority at the combined airline.

I'm proud of our representatives on the XJT side. The overwhelming majority of our pilots say no paycuts no matter what and they are listening unlike our old leadership

Haha.. We need to get to work on our resumes?? Are you serious? Do you think anyone actually wants to be at Expressjet? If you find someone who isn't in the top 10-20% that isn't trying to get out of here let me know

Hopefully in the next few years most of us with integrity, intelligence, and self respect will leave XJT so the remaining Joe's and Tony's can "play ball" and whipsaw each other.

Cpt. Tony was a part of that 83%, and was one of the most vocal pilots leading that 83%....Don't assume that 83% agree with the LXJT side....

But there's a huge pilot shortage....You should all be gone according to the NO pundits....Truth be told, many of the junior NO chest thumpers are tucking their tails between their legs and running for Mesa, PSA, and Compass.....

Beyond the 310, you might want to double check your search.

We're getting MIGs!

We (ASA) are not being asked for concessions!

Air101 - we have paid attention and we know the risk involved. If Mesa or PSA gets our flying that's fine, at the end of the day who do you think the majors are going to hire? The majors are going to need the Mesa/PSA pilots to fly their shiny RJ's. I can see less of them getting hired at majors as a result.
^^^ Opinion

Fact: ASA FOs make 60% of Captain pay, which is industry leading. Our average FO makes $40K/year. Compare that to what police officers, teachers, and other transportation workers make.
