Always a possibility.

However, Pinndeavor was 100% DelCon where XJT isn't.

The logistics of DAL and UAL getting to together to Bendeavor XJT don't exactly seem realistic nor viable. Especially when St. George gets tossed into the mix.

Just one of the many scenarios, but I don't think you'll see UAL buying XJT from SKW holdings corp, BKi'ing them, etc etc etc.

UAL would have a difficult time merging two baby strollers on a pedestrian walking path in a suburban neighborhood and STILL can't get their poop in a group years later. Trying to Bendeavor XJT would be a complete and utter train wreck. One that involves of if not UAL's biggest regional feeder.

I fly for a regional carrier and also jumpseat quite a bit on mainline carriers and agree that there are bad apples on both sides of the fence and screening is necessary. My argument is that would it not behoove the profession to have this "screening" extended to all in the profession?

Would this not go farther in the way of securing job security and career progression for all pilots? I'm just adding my two cents here fwiw.

2263,

I understand your position. I was a proponent of mainline buying and flying the RJ's back in 97 when the scope relief was given. That would have satisfied our pilot staffing needs for years to come. However, it didn't work out that way and the toothpaste is out of the tube now.

Personally I think they should give preferential interviews and hiring the the XJT group. They were the closest aligned with CO and were single carrier flown ops. Adding the ASA family of carriers it operates for hurts the XJT group IMHO. If XJT was single carrier flown as UAX then I think there would be a better chance of an interview and a XJT2U program like DL to Endeavor. Supposedly there was a team working on a program last year at our training center and it was disbanded due to not being able to hammer out an agreement or terms. That is what I was told at my last event in Denver. Take it for what it is worth.

I definitely would support seeing the XJT group being given preferential hiring and would be very much opposed to SKYW being offered the same due to the lack of ALPA representation. Of course like the RJ's flown by mainline pilots back in the day, I don't get a vote on this issue.

So, we (another airline) share a crew van with a ExpressJet crew tonight. Quick flight to a longer overnight. We wait for the ExpressJet crew.

While sitting there I notice we've got a good looking flight attendant in our crew. Kinda a classical beauty. Unique ... and we end up at a hotel with a SWA style 2/4/6 deal. So I decide to grab a beverage and notice the ExpressJet dude has our FA at a table regaling her with stories of Paris. hmmm ... yeah, I'm good for round #2.

As I walk back to my room he's doing the walk of shame in the opposite direction, our eyes meet.

Good work Son. Well played.

Respect.

He was probably unaware that nobody is interested in Paris, Kentucky, least of all a Delta FA.

In order to be Endeavored we would have to be bankrupted, and I doubt the SkyWest stockholders have the stomach for that. So no, we're not about to be anything-d except pai-d and compensate-d.
