It's funny since the company has said so many times they will NOT be bidding on any RFP's until a new contract is signed...

I think they are still bidding on RFP's. Reason being because the RFPs that are out there are for long term contracts. Once they are awarded, it will be years before another opportunity comes along to gain additional flying or hold on to what you've got. (This being told to me by the MEC chair).
