I'm in this boat. Always get my 1st or 2nd choice of line. Use the ILIW to hold 20+ days off. Making 38/hr. Life is ok for now. Of course upgrade went from being in sight to gone in a matter of months, but oh well...

I cannot/will not go back to first year pay and reserve, probably commuting to a major city.

I'm not sure how many of us there are, but with my understanding of the state of the industry, and the fact that I have a pretty good, non-aviation backup plan, I won't work for another regional airline ever again. If we go away, I would instruct to stay current before I would commute to the right seat of a regional cockpit.

This is the only real leverage we have. No union will provide this leverage to us. All of us should must be prepared to walk away from this job, preferably with a viable back up plan such as yours. When we can make these types of career decisions without ANY fear of your personal finance situation, then you make sound principled decisions. Otherwise, emotions creep in such as doubt and uncertainty.

Same here. There's a lot of us that have Plan B's in place. Shutting down Eagle and/or XJT will make the pilot shortage problem even worse in our country because I'd bet that roughly a third of the pilots would not return to a regional airline.

Not for 20 bucks an hour, no pay in training, and buy your own uniform anyway. Them days are long gone.

Position notice out today, 6 upgrades in DFW, multiple vacancies for FO positions, 8 in fact on the CR7 ATL. Cannot wait to see all of the mid level FO's resume their chase for that aircraft and then wonder why they cannot hold weekends, holidays or any other day off they desire, not to mention their VAC bid for 2015 will be shot!

6 whole upgrades...wow! (I know, it's better than downgrades)

Yeah, we lose 30 something captains since the last position notice and attrition is accelerating on the captain side. Better upgrade 6... What? I seriously don't understand... No more aircraft losses on the asa side for the rest of the year but basically no upgrades... does this mean block hours are shot... god I hate this place... what an epic failure.

Good for you guys on the ASA side. I know the sky is looking very dark for us, but something is better than nothing.

It's all the same, we are both shrinking at a rapid rate.
