What the XJT MEC says they are going to do in regards to transitioning to PBS is the business of the XJT MEC and its pilots.

The great work the ASA MEC Scheduling committee does on behalf of its pilots on a monthly basis will remain the business of CRJ pilots. Most of our pilots understand the negative consequences of a fully globalized system and darn near no one wants to live in an unstacked to 100% scheduling environment.

So - that said, the ASA MEC is not rehashing anything. It also isn't necessary for the ASA MEC to respond to every Chairman's letter sent out by Dave Allen or every accusation of "rehashing."

Appears as business as usual honestly. I know its difficult to not get all excited and emotional about potential conflicts between the two groups, but it very well is not necessary.

The real fun will be watching the one developer on staff for SmartPref attempt to get the unborn baby to walk before it is even fully developed in the mother's womb.

Mediation begins on Weds.

Care to share exactly what the XJT MEC communicated about the issue?

Exactly! This is precisely what the Process for Interim and Single PBS does! Each side works on their system. Each system will sink or swim under it's own merits. So there is nothing to worry about.

Friends with the FO flying the flight to ATL... He said Steve Rossum is one of the people on-board as well as senior Inc leadership.

Google Steve Rossum and Pinnacle... Might tell you a little bit of what they have in store.

I'm surprised it took them this long to go down the bankruptcy route to be honest. Our financial issues are rooted much deeper than the LXJT pilot CBA that everyone likes to use as a scapegoat. Oh well, now I'll be able to add Ch 11 to my airline experience.

the fact that its a concession in and of itself... and PBS just sucks balls compared to line bidding.

Not necessarily doubting you, but there is such a thing as restructuring out of bk. That would seem to be the logical next step. At least before seeking bk court protection.

Ive never said bankruptcy is likely... but look at what his task was at Pinnacle. restructuring after bankruptcy. Just saying something is definitely in the works... Lots of people getting nervous, especially those that were on here spouting nonsense about how SKW needs XJT blah blah blah.
