I don't really listen to my MEC anymore because they have already tried to sell me a POS TA so they, nor the ASA MEC and JNC, has any equity with me. If the company is telling you no concessions for either side that is good but they said the same thing to us four years ago and then later asked for cuts. We know we are going down to about 150 aircraft in the next 18 months, no surprise there and it does not scare us. We have 60 pilots in ORD and DEN alone that are in the UAL pool and should be getting class dates soon. Unlike ASA our top 500 seniority spots are not lifers so our attrition should be fine and give us all time to get out of here. I am glad to hear pay cuts are off the table because I like my 5% match and 4% DC plan, hopefully you can negotiate that into your new contract as well.
Well if you're getting all your info from 4 year old company memos and don't trust anyone in the union, I'm sure you have the most up to date information. Chive on brau.

How are the negotiations going then? I am excited that I won't be giving up anything in this new TA and that ASA pilots will be brought up to XJT pay levels, that is good for the industry. Thanks for all you do.

What was that 70 seat rate you have? Oh yeah $2 override of your current 50 seat rate. That would bring the LASA down to you. Did you pass math in grade school?

Well they just found 40 pilots... (Closing PDX EMB base). But the UA press release about the 175 routes says they will retire 50 seaters as the 175's come on line.... And OO just added 6 200's this month... Mostly for our at risk stuff i guess... Yes i can also say i saw the "operated by Expressjet" planes at the hanger. End game 200's will go away. They have them on short term leases i bet... Wish i ha a 5 year crystal ball!!! I could see a merger of ASA/SKY.. Maybe in 4-5 years. Republic is doing it. And i think the savings will win out at SkyWest also...

That was because our B fund contribution, higher matching funds, higher vacation accrual, higher sick accrual, higher per diem, better LTD, lower insurance premium caps, were taken into consideration. That all adds up to higher total compensation.

Yes, I knew about PDX but couldn't say anything. Of course United said 50-seaters were going away...XJT's 135s. Until you see a press release specifically saying United is offering a deal to draw down SkyWest's 200s it's not in the plan. If you ever do, you can bet most of them will already have a back-up plan in place.

Not only 135's but their 145's as well... Through March of next year over 100 aircraft are supposed to come off contract. With United losing in excess of 600 million dollars, they certainly aren't going to be throwing more money at ExpressJet and increase the rates to keep them all flying.

Are they just closing the base or are they parking those particular EMBs?

It sounds as if NVUS doesn't believe merging saves any significant costs.

Those are not all LXJT aircraft.

Best case scenario I see is that they do pay a fair rate for the XRs. Anything else, I would be surprised.

I agree. I bet xjt goes down to just the xr's... Didn't they only sign a contract mx (for a gear check) contract for those planes?? Im also hearing UA will shift there feed around. They only want 3-4 regionals in ORD instead of what 7?...
